Ahhh I’m glad you liked it!🤍 Honestly, it took me roughly 20 hours, but its all I do and I been crocheting for quite some time. 😭 ALSO I did not see you struggle at all and you should be so proud of yourself!! Literally smashed it and knowing you don’t crochet on a daily basis, picked up straight away, when it should have taken you weeks and so much more mistakes 🫶🫶

My fellow crochet friend handed me her copy of her hexagon pattern to try it. I attempted it and then I quit. Then I attempted again and I quit again. 😅 her work is awesome! I thought I had the patience guess I don’t. 😂
Definitely look up hand stretches for knitting/crocheting or even for artists. I generally do image search bc people will make like graphics of the whole routine to follow the stretches. Awesome job on the project!

This is such a nice shirt! I probably would be done in a few days on holiday break. But I made, like, seven amigurumi octopi and a crochet basket in a literal time period of 12 hours including food breaks and procrastinating (yes, literal 12 hours, not cumulative). Been doing this shit for +10 years though lol.
Pro tips: if they have yarn suggested and you use a differently sized hook for the yarn to fit always do more (for smaller than suggested) or less (for larger than suggested) rows! And for pieces like this one you can just "try it on" and adjust it to your liking! Then it will fit better. I always put my crochet tops on to see if I need to add more rows to the base.

My hobbies right now are crocheting and sewing. I do like drawing and reading but I don't have the time and attention for it since my kids need those as well.
And audiobooks just go through one ear and out the other for me. I can't really hold onto the information so it's like I didn't even 'read' the book.

Stretch exercises while crocheting: hold your arm out at shoulder level and bend your hands down at the wrist and towards your body, hold for 30 seconds. Now bend your hands up at the wrist and bend towards your body, hold for 30 seconds.
Roll your shoulders for 30 seconds clockwise, then 30 seconds counterclockwise.
You can also do all of the stretches for carpal tunnel syndrome, but finding a crochet needle that is comfortable is important against pains

I highly recommend taking a break every 20-30 minutes to stretch out your hands or at least shake them out. Crochet hooks with bigger grips can also be very helpful.
It's so important to take breaks and stretch because you can easily develop carpel tunnel syndrome from crocheting otherwise

Hi, well my mom taught me to crochet, but I would try some RUclips tutorials 😊 Also start with a thicker yarn, they are easier to work with. On the yarn label it will tell you what size hook to buy also.
