Tbh stun isn't just anti-meta, it's anti-Yu-Gi-Oh. Morgante is a really cool card though, so I'm hoping that more interesting decks can figure out how to use it.

I don’t why people call this anti meta, I mean it beats a lot of other decks game 1 as well since most rouge decks could just be considered “this meta deck but weaker.”
Because of weird ygo player habits. Its just stun. I guess back in the day there would maybe be specific stun variants much more tailored to the specific meta but a deck like this kind of just is a catch all. Any meta specific shit you can just throw in the side like any other deck. Otherwise it has tools for basically every matchup.
