Some songs okay sound alright yes, but when the majority of everything i have heard sounds just like the other band with a different voice its hard to get behind it. Its so processed and bland. I honestly think metal needs to go back to standard tuning to at least bring back the edge.

I think breakdowns are very dependent on context. Like, Demolisher's breakdown still hits pretty hard, but without the buildup, it loses a lot of substance, especially with how heavily it contrasts the previous section with the insane kick speed. I didn't know a lot of the songs from here, but the ones that I did know, I knew the context, so they hit a little harder. Of course, there's certain breakdowns that work well on their own, e.g. Crystal Lake's - Into the great Beyond is the type of breakdown I love, so I can listen to just that section and still wanna headbang
