I've done this back in 2016, I'm using the shittiest Iveco Stralis with 80% damage because I'm text and driving ,and hauling a 28 Ton cargo, in the UK too, except it's not raining, the stupid truck will stalled every time it stops
Driving without GPS is not a big challenge if you started these games back with the 18 WoS series. It helped old folks like me, be able to plan my own route. Still doing it every now and then, but since there is GPS, I tend to use it.
How do you drive without GPS, voice navigator and XXX's on a roads? 😮 I dont understand it. If I will want to drive so - I will crashing in every crossroad because idk whats road isnt blocked, whats road is blocked and whats road is correct, need for me. I can try use a Sun: North, South, West and East to navigate where is the country, city I need, but it doesnt resolve the roads problem for me I want try drive without GPS, but dont understand how to do it. Do u know anything guides, do u can help me?
I drive without the GPS sometimes. It's really challenging and it shifts your focus. You tend to keep more focus on the surroundings of the road. But, in real life, it's not common for a person to go somewhere without having talked to someone, drawn part of the trajectory, or taken some notes. Or, maybe even having a paper map. So, if you feel too overwhelmed, whenever you are unsure about a turn, find a place to stop the truck, press ESC, and take a look at the map, or do that if you happen to be waiting at a traffic light.
The biggest challenge is to be stuck in a trafffic jam because police barricaded the road due to an accident or what so ever and standing there for hours of game time too see the road is still barred.
Vutomy: Driving in the UK is hard because they drive on the left Me, who grew up in HK and is absolutely used to left hand drive, starting in UK and have UK interior: How about the rest of Europe and drive on the right
Driving without GPS is super fun and challenging. I always do that. And difficult, but that depends on how good your topographical knowledge of Europe/America is or of a specific country or state. Just like in the time of the '18WOS' game series from the 00s. Nostalgia. ;)
I used an Iveco 310 with 4×2 to go with a special transport by 70t from Turkey and was ok, but i tryed on Iceland on snow to go with 61t and when i gave by snow, i remained blocked.
the hardest challenge for me is finding a vtc where people don't drive like race pilots and then bragging about being nr 1. + many vtcs are not even active anymore, maybe due to that.
You forgot one more thing. Blind Challenge. no Truck Lights on. You can only rely on GPS, Traffic, and Enviromental Lights for Navigation. God helps you if it's a rainy night
Have driven a badly damaged truck for a whole shift before; dam if it wasn't a so and so to keep going; couldn't call service though as it was external contract and you lose that if you call service.
I didn't saw anything about driving with a very low fuel and constantly turn on and off the engine to use as low as fuel possible to get to the nearest station. espacially in spain 😉 This is what i'm used to
Without gps how can you go to a location first time without getting lost. How can i remember the names of cities i have to go through on a 2k+ km journey. I know it's hardcore but also feels unnecessary.
The entering at the drop off in spain can be easier if you know how... when you enter.. drive to the end and turn to the left and do a full loop... way easier.. use all the room you have
Its just impossible to haul more than a 50tons with less than 400hp power. Even with a custom gearbox ratios and crawling gears. Its just not enough physical power to do it. Im talking about uphills of course, if you doesnt change elevation too much it will be too slow but possible.

As an veteran at this game i can drive without the gps every now and then. But the biggest problems occur around the dlc areas as they are very dense
It's challenging
Yea dlc areas can be dense, but they have better signage as well which really helps
imagine the last one except with snow, even steeper, and youre on svalbard
