Been a fan for over 20 years. And yes, this sound is different for Rehab. But, it sounds generic compared to how original they usually are. I was on the fence with million dollar mugshot and anything after it just doesn't do it for me. Cuzwecan actually saved my life. I know an artist has to evolve but, this just isn't where I thought it would go. Still luv these guys. Just went to my 15th show a few weeks ago. Danny is writing from a place that I am NOT in and honestly don't want to be in right now. So I can't relate. Please don't take this as criticism. We are all just evolving in our own way

Did the band you tour with work on this track in studio?
Our guitar player, Doyle Williams was with us. Caleb Melvin is a guy who used to play drums for us while touring. He came up and rocked those out. The bass player is a guy named Bobby who works with our guy who mixes and masters for us. So only one of our guys currently touring played with us in studio.

This is definitely a new sound for you Danny, but I dig it. I miss the Southern Discomfort days of Rehab, but as an artist myself, I understand how we evolve and end up going down different avenues.
I'd love to see you guys live again, and get a chance to hang with ya again. Many years ago I got to see you guys in Boston, and it was a smaller crowd in a tiny ass bar, and you guys all came out after the set and sat at tables and shot the shit with everyone. One of the coolest experiences for me being able to just chill with Rehab like it was some everyday normal shit.

Thank you! The lyrics in this song were taken from a friend’s writings that he did in one of Danny’s notebooks. He had been staying at our place and written down some thoughts. Those sentiments are a friend’s musings. Danny is still his jovial self. He does frequently debate the haircut! 😎

I still respect you as artists.
