Recently over the weekend, i employed these defending shout-outs skills and trust me it worked out for me. After 1-1 draw in regular time, we proceeded to shout-outs where I saved 2 shout-outs and a Penalty flick to help my team get promoted to division 1 in the Kenyan Hockey League. Thanks alot Hockey Heroes for this wonderful video.. I will be forever grateful.

so u have to state make a move as a goalkeeper the moment the player States?
I haven't had to deal with a penalty shootout yet, but i have a question Dennis.. can the positioning be used when confronted by a solo attacker when defenders are not available to assist? another great video that is helping me a little more every time i watch it. Thank you
by that i mean starting around the penality spot when they approach the top of the D, and move the same diagonal angle backwards to keep the pressure on while making a goal opportunity as difficult as possible? Oli
+Oli Cochrane yes! Defending a 1 on 1 is about the same as a shoot out.But hopefully in a match your defenders will be there quicker then 8 seconds! :) Dennis
Dennis, i have noticed that 8 seconds can feel like a very long time in certain situations. It is good that i have something else to practice at training though, i can feel my game improving week by week thanks to your videos. thank you :) Oli

How do you sweep the ball with your backhand for the goalie?

For a back hand sweep move your stick round like you would hit a revers shot use that hit of the stick

You mean during a shoot out? Then it depends how far away you are from the player. You never know this before the start of the shoot out, so probably you are around the penalty spot when this happens!

The normal gloves OBO provide with their gloves!

Any glove can fit! Some goalies I train use golf gloves!
