Thanks for the awesome review and great playing. I got to try one of these out with the intent of purchasing one so that I can keep my vintage tweed and deluxe reverb at home. Have a gripe though. I played through the Comet with a Really nice Les Paul a Blues Man Tele and a Silvertone reissue. All three guitars sounded incredible but I have a few gripes. First of all the test amp dropped power and went virtually dead after setting the volume on full and doing some swells with my guitar volume. Probably a loose tube, unfortunately who would know for sure because when me and the sales person at one of the major guitar stores tried to check the tube it was basically impossible. the tubes are hidden on top of the amps chasis where they are not vet easy to access. Those with good spacial ability could rock the tube out and replace it bit without a mirror it would be impossible to inspect the tube socket. Another method would be to remove the four screws on the face plate and take the grill and speaker out or lastly take the 4 screws off the Sid Sid screws off the back panel and remove the chasis. I dunno hate to be picky but if I am on a gig I want to be able to trouble shoot a problem quickly. If the amp I tested hadn't had a hiccup it wouldn't have been a concern to me. The sale guy finally got the amp to work properly by turning the knobs a bunch of times but and leaning the amp over to look inside the back bit who knows what was the actual problem with that particular amp. All in all it looks cool, sounds great and is easily transportable but o guess i am gonna wait a while before I dive in and spend $1349 for one.
Love this 😯 Your technique was firm yet Suttle . . You definitely have the talent but still chose to dim it down and just casually play like it was any other day. . Well in my opinion. Well done 🤌 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 🚬🥃🎚📻🎵🧲🫀👍
very interesting, a bit like a princeton? one comet and one princeton would be very cool to play side by side, Id get one of each IF I could. ;o) ;o) great demo, interesting guitar, Hofner?!!
Yes, that would be nice. I actually played both, although not side by side... However, Comet wins in my opinion. It just sounds sweeter and warmer than Princeton. Maybe that's because it's A class double 6L6 tubes. Princeton is still an exceptional amp. The guitar is Hofner Jazzica Vintage I believe, fitted with a Shadow AZ floating jazz pickup.
I wish all demos were this good. He really covers the range of what this amp is about. Well done and fantastic playing!

he reminds me of emo peter parker in the old sony spider man 3. :D
Why the hate? This guy's a great reviewer and really gives us a feel for the amp!
OH MY GOD! What are we to do? Give people freedom and look what happens - self expression!
