Hi. Fellow Ecto owner here. You did good on using plumbing supplies. A roof rack will be subjected to the elements. Sun and wind alone will beat them up before rain or snow ever does. For that reason alone, the durability of plumbing supplies is a wise move. Having seen the rotting wood in the screen-used Ecto's rack firsthand, I used all steel and plastic in my rack. Never regretted it. Lovin' the green lights too.

Hello. I went and checked local police depts around the towns I would be visiting and per code my rack meets requirements. The lights could not be blue or red and the lights could only be on in residential neighborhoods and parades

im just looking to do the rack. the yellow tanks and the red ghost detecting thing. are there any laws about that?
