I am the one that asked cliff to make the bird for, I had some family from out of town come to visit for Thanksgiving. EVERYONE ate this amazing smoked turkey! And everyone said it was the best turkey they have ever had and to truly was. Thanks cliff and Kelly for making out Thanksgiving one of the best ones our family ever had. Super delicious moist turkey!!! 10 out of 10
I found out the 1st time i smoked a turkey on the kamado that foil tenting the bird when you get color you want doesn't work like an offset. Heat comes from bottom. My bird got darker and cooked quicker than i wanted lol. But still very edible. Tony's creole butter injection is the bomb on keeping that breast moist. Rubbing the breast under the skin with a honey butter mixture really elevates the taste and moisture as well. Good looking bird, Happy Thanksgiving 2024.
