Granblue Fantasy Relink Demo - My thoughts

    Nice to hear you talk about the Relink demo! I recently took an interest in this game after someone mentioned it to me even though I know nothing about Granblue lol.
    I really like that you talked about the ougis not interrupting the flow of combat since that's an issue I have with some Tales games that have ougis that are practically cutscenes lol. Also glad to hear that the enemies are competent! It looks super fun and I'm probably going to pick it up on Steam when it comes out.

      Thanks =03! Yeah, its a great game, though it has 10 years of established lore, it feels like they're doing a good job with the introduction for new players. Can't wait to see how you play the game 🧑🏾. Game is a blast with other players too(based on the demo ofc =03), so I think you'll have a great time with it.

    I'm still kind of iffy on skills being tied to cooldowns. On one hand I can get it since you have your buffs and heals there too and some moves also double as debuffers. On the other hand, when you've used all of them you're kind of just stuck with a few basic strings and while I do like the enemies in this, it can feel like you're beating up on them a little too long at times if you don't have other party members helping you out. I'm hoping that with more levels you either unlock more strings or get more ways to speed up your cooldowns, at least the attack ones anyway.

      There was a cooldown Sigil there and although it was only lv 6(with whatever the max lv is capping at 20% time reduction), its still something. I didn't find the cooldowns too taxing, and that's without the Sigil, but I've only been Gran'ing this whole time, so I don't know how other chars' skill cooldowns are like.
      I can definitely see your point on the mobs having a bit too much health, but I'm sure that can be mitigated by equipment and levels(you couldn't raise levels here). I really don't want a scenario like "the enemies in the last dungeon in Arise", where it feels like the HP is bloated to an annoying level.
      I also hope you get more strings. I was satisfied for the demo, but not sure if that'll hold for the entire game. I won't get my hopes up for that, or rather, I hope they allow a 2nd skill set somehow; that'll really help with the cooldown situation you mentioned.

    Finally got time to watch this, haha
    Relink has been a game I've been eyeing since launch (I enjoyed what I played from OG GBF). Demo looks really cool but Imma wait to play until release on PC. Interesting to see how much this has in common with some older Tales games when you were breaking down the basic mechanics! O:
    While I like the cinematic MA's (free drink break, haha), I also enjoy the breakneck speed of modern Tales MA's (Feels more in line with Fighting game) :P
    Maybe in the future, they could give Gran more jobs because that was one thing I liked about GBF during my time with the game. It was very... FF5 if that makes sense?
    Great video btw. I liked the intro leading into a podcast styled thought piece, ending on some raw gameplay. Looking forward to playing this with friends. :D

      Thanks =03. FF5 ish I kinda get. It does have a class system like that game, and you'd also change classes based on the content you're doing(tho in ff5, some classes greatly outpace others =0v). I thought him having multiple jobs would be great too at first, but I was thinking making him have multiple-style roles like classes will denounce his individuality, kinda like how I feel with Xenoblade 3(and 2, to some extent). I do feel he'd benefit if they took maybe 1 skill from multiple jobs to add to his arsenal, that fits his original playstyle. I assume you are bullying Horangi to get the game as well for some more collab stuffs =03?

      Yeah, Samurai in particular comes to mind in 5, haha! But I see what you mean. Make him unique while giving him tools to represent the source material. :3
      Hmmm, IDK yet. I'm gonna try and play with friends first and see if I like the game, haha! Though I probably will enjoy it, never really thought about making videos on it but, never say never.

      I'm would say I'm back exactly, but thanks =03. Glad you're getting it for pc as well(gotta keep the mod door open for this one if its possible 👦🏾).
      Any particular character you've taken to in the demo? I would guess Verg.... err I mean Naru from previous exp, but that's just a guess.

      @@frubam While I'm waiting 4 the games release I'll be modding arise again in the meantime. Made a lot of new discoveries with modding the character movesets
