Back in March Dr Barbara Peterson, Texas veterinarian, reported that many of the Farms she visited that had infected cows also had infected workers. Workers who were never sick were now missing work and had pink eye and flu-like symptoms. Because they were undocumented migrant workers nobody was reporting the illness. So it's probably a whole lot more people who are infected and just don't want to come forward because they are illegally in this country. Farm owners don't want to report because they are afraid their entire Dairy herds will be destroyed by the government without compensation.
