Just watched that post, thank you for putting that up. As I am trying to plan my hike based on previous hikers notes and comments on stealth camp sites and what is available at shelters (shelter condition, water, bear box, cables and so on) to give me a rough plan on camp sites. One thing I am certain of, I'm going to avoid the shelter areas that ER landed at, lol. He had the worst luck with shelter conditions of any hiker I have followed, lol. He always seemed to walk past 2 or 3 stellar shelters only to end up at some leaky, half falling down place with little to no water, bummer. All of you that have done this before the rest of us have given us so much valuable information, my Guide Book is full of notes from all of you. That information is priceless, thank you and all the others for what you are giving back. As always, be good, be safe, be careful. Breeze
Enjoyed the video. I need to go back and watch that episode again. Wish I had seen the video a couple weeks ago. The last hiking video I uploaded was my trip to Reeds Gap from Humpback. I passed a campsite I wanted to use and then passed a bear cub. I was too afraid to go back to the campsite, but there were no other sites between there and Reeds Gap or beyond. Finally, I set up my tent near the parking area at Reeds Gap. Out of view, fortunately, or o would have been thinking of this story the whole time!! Keep making these great videos!!
There's an idea for a AT video series: the Most-est series. "The time I was the MOST": scared, sad, angry, joyful, disgusted, at peace, surprised, hopeful, disappointed, dejected, elated, anxious, helpless, fulfilled, ....etc.
