- In this video, Didge Project's Jerry Walsh demonstrates how to play 3 basic beatboxing rhythms for the didgeridoo. What's great about these rhythms is that they do not require circular breathing, so even if you haven't mastered circular breathing yet, you can pick up the instrument right away and begin to play.

About Jerry Walsh:
Jerry Walsh started playing the didgeridoo in 2011 utilizing the instrument's deep drone and conscious breathing in efforts to access deeper levels of meditative awareness and spiritual connection. Jerry has since developed a love for the instrument's musical and healing capabilities, frequently performing in shamanic circles and developing highly experimental rhythms. Jerry spent a year in 2010-11 traveling through India, Nepal, and the Kingdom of Bhutan studying art, eastern religion, and sociology. Jerry currently lives in Brooklyn, New York at Golden Drum, a spiritual community with a focus on sacred traditions and is a member of Dream Seed: A Shamanic Sound Journey and Sacred Arts Research Foundation. Killer job showing the technique so clearly, and how to articulate, etc.... Really great. You're awesome.
You're just beat boxing into the didge, play it and throw the beats in!
Great video. Solid skills and clear slow directions. Thanks- I appreciate this
can't wait to try this! Thanks so much! hoping to do it with my looper pedal.
Amazing, this does not come naturally to me but I’ll work on it! Thanks for sharing!
Super nice lesson!
Great pacing and structure with the teaching so very easy to understand.
I’ll be in NY this summer maybe so I’ll try to look you guys up!
Excellent teacher...you take something seemingly complicated and make it simple. Thanks.
Wow!!! Thanks so much for teaching this. Can’t wait to share with my 12 year old grandson who already does great with beatboxing.
Great video! Very informative and helpful. I've been wanting to try this technique, but never did because I thought it was just too complicated. I'm going to give this a go.

Okay! You are really good.....I really wish you lived as my neighbour so I could learn beatboxing from you!Sure, the tutorials are there, but nothing's like teaching IRL, right?

Porn to be clever? Jaja by the way many thanks very useful data!
Sweeeeettttttt
Nice instructions. I started a week ago and slowly progressing. The only question I have, how do you make the inward inhale sound louder?
Also would it be desirable to learn also apply on didgeridoo the similar “inward lip curl’? Which sounds great of the beatboxers, since you’re the expert.
Thank you very much, very informative video. Question? What sounds or syllabuses would you use to represent the djembe tone, slap and bass, so that you could play a djembe rhythm ? Thank you
see this video: ruclips.net/video/lhN73-UwSuk/видео.html
Thank you for the quick response. Yes I have watched the djembe rhythm video in the past as well. What my question is here, is what sounds like "B" "TS" "K" "IN" would you use in didgeridoo to represent the bass tone and slap sounds of the djembe if you wanted to beatbox a djembe rhythm in didgeridoo? I hope that make sense. Thank you again for your time.
Thanks dude!!! This is so freaking fun to play with!! 🤩💜👍🏼~K
- any chance you (or AJ) will be near chicago for a lesson in the next year?

Is it ok to inhale thru didge? How can you make sure didge is clean inside?
Hi i have a big problem when i breathing in i overloaded me with oxygen. How should i breath in to do not take so much air but still make that sound?
inhale less! take smaller "sips" of air periodically, and less frequently if you can
That intro scared me 🤣 I'm not that good yet
yo this is Karen's Brother and I beatbox and i got it in like five minuites!!!
Jest jakis polak z tym kacem?
This is very nice thank you, but to b honest you sound better without the didge with that low buzz of your lips. I can't do that
aha
