I can just imagine a scene in either a MechWarrior game or possibly a movie where a force is badly damaged and battered but managed to win a pitched battle only for their sensors to suddenly pick up a single hostile 'Mech approaching....and then the dawning look of horror and dread at the realization that the approaching 'Mech is an *Atlas*, with this playing in the background as the battered force desperately tries to find some way to halt the Atlas. :P Make the Atlas out to be something like an unstoppable force of destruction. :)
Had this happen to me in several MWO matches where an enemy AFK/disconnected player suddenly returns to action and lumbers out of their spawn. "Alright, we're down to five, my King Crab is out of autocannon ammo and missing all torso armor and the Hunchback is legged and limping, but there's only one of them, let's finish this. "I've got contact, grid echo five" "Maintain lock and hold, we're converging on your position" "Got lock! it's... it's a pristine Kodiak O_O" This usually ends badly for the majority of the pilots involved.
Hah, I actually had one hell of a satisfying moment in an MWO match myself that made me feel like my lance was something out of a Mechwarrior's worst nightmare. I chose to just follow the rest of my lance....we wound up skirting the entire battle as we walked around the entire outside of the map before planting ourselves right in the middle of the enemy base. As expected, the enemy team began rushing their hides to their base, but I can only imagine the absolutely dumbfounded and stunned looks on their faces when they found *four pristine Assault 'Mechs* (of which, three were Atlases [one of which was my customized Atlas], and the fourth was a Dire Wolf) just sitting in their base waiting for them to show up. Needless to say, the poor saps got totally shredded one by one as they arrived.
Something like that happened to me back when the KDK-3 was still top tier, I had twin LBX-20s, I shut down around the end of the fight because I was surrounded, and only moments later it was a 9v1. They were all badly damaged lucky for me, so I powered up, and came up on a slope behind them while they were all searching for me, dropped about eight mechs one after the other with close range torso shots, then a damn Yen-Low-Wang outshot me from afar. Still got the Ace of Spades badge for eight consecutive kills in a match.
@@gamester512 Gonna necro this thread! I had a match like this in my King Crab recently; ended up falling behind the main force, since most of them were a lot faster than me. By the time I really got stuck in, the battle was mostly over, in the enemy team's favour - but here I was, lumbering in, fresh and fully-armed. I took down a full 6 or 7 'Mechs and achieved my first 1000+ damage game. It was awesome.
we need some ingame music during brawling in mwo seriously. I think this is pretty necessary since previous classic mechwarrior games also used ingame bgms during fights. Anyway im sorry if you think that music disrupts you from listening enemy footsteps and gunfires.
+RedStarN00b If the music would be optional that would be good. That way if you want to focus on the game sounds, or you are just tired of the brawling music, you could turn it off. On that note, it might be cool to allow you to play any music when a brawl starts...
Faust by Mick Gordon should have been in Mecwarrior. From the first second intro to striding across the landscape blasting away with auto canon and firing the lasers as the music recycles...
I know this is a late reply, but most of the others are on some other guy's account (I think it was something like Captain Punko?). I uploaded this because it was a song he was missing that I really wanted to have in a playlist of mine. Another place is the SoundCloud for MWO.
Best track to pump you up before battle
Reactor online, sensors online, weapons online, all systems nominal.
Got my first Ace of Spades Blasting this in the background on loop. In a Cicada X5. LOL it wad so fun back then....

I never get tired of that
Can't get more Mech than this...
The game rewards you for brawling, so it can tell.
Therefore this music MUST play in a brawl.
Can't adress that enough... Nothing beats up taking down a higher tonnage mech with my QKD-4H ^_^
That was my 4P today. although that King Crab couldn't handle the SPLs that I had.
Listening to this made me get four mech kills in two separate matches
i fucking love this
needs 10 min. loop or remastered longer version, 5 min. or something of the sort

If only the game was good.
