Hi, I enjoyed your video and found it very informative… I’m having a lot of issues with the smokestack on my new Reading T1. Can you explain what you were doing with the syringe towards the end of the filling process? Are you inserting the syringe all the way to the bottom of the Stack and drawing out air into the syringe? I’m also going to go through and change the CV values you recommended. Thanks for any help.
Thanks! Sorry for your problems. They can be a bit tricky. So what i was doing was simulating blowing into the chamber. This would be to clear any air bubbles. A Syringe of my type didnt work to well. A bigger turkey baster style one would be good. OR what is even better is to just take the locomotive off track. Place it firmly in your hand. Flip it upside down and tap the smoke stack on a napkin (while upside down). Basically dumping any excess fluid. This usually resolves any issues for me. Place it back on track and cycle the function 7 key multiple times. (Smoke) Of course until you see smoke. Then let it run and get thin. Then re-add your fluid. Very cautiously and make sure syringe of bottle is at bottom if the generator. Youll move it down slowly and you feel it bottom out. Let me know if this helps. Cheers!!!
Yes. Just like in the video, Make sure you have a small applicator. For me I use these syringes. Works for me but you can find others on amazon and what not. As long as it has a very small and narrow tip, filling the generator will be fine. BLI Suggest to use marklin but I've been using multiple fluids. Hope this helps! If not let me know I'll try to get you set up! Cheers!
Great video! I had these problems with mine, thanks for the help!
