Damn! I live in Auckland and had no idea this happened just 2 months ago! Bungle was the band that set me off down the rabbit hole way back in 1991 when a classmate slipped me a cassette copy of their first album and said "hey, I think you'll like this...". He was right! It coincided with a time when families were gathering around their TV sets and becoming acquainted with the world of Laura Palmer and the twisted mind of David Lynch...Blue Velvet...Frank Booth..."don't you focking look at me!". My Ass is on fire has always been my favourite Bungle track. It's just so savage and perfect. Have always been fascinated with the Arabian sounding breaks in the song. Paton looks great and awesome to see Scott Ian hasn't changed. Thanks for posting!
Pretty mind blowing seeing these guys still performing this now, a favorite of mine since I was a teen. Also incredible that they were in their teens when they wrote this!
I still remember Patton joking with the crowd at this same venue in 1993 with FNM. They had played the Nestle commercial and of course we never had that TVC and pronounce Nestle very differently 😆
All good, my brother was up from Tauranga to see the show so i thought i check out some footage and caught this. I’ve lived in the states since 08 but grew up in a small town sth of Auckland but naturally Ive seen the tvc here and had to laugh and knowing alota people may not know it. Anyway, thnx for the post, enjoy the rest of ur week… Mauri Ora! 😜

Love the Pepto Bismol TV commercial reference at the end, fits the song 😂
Not something we’re familiar with in NZ, but it wasn’t lost on me 😉
