I cant get it fully loaded by hand, it becomes too hard to do (using a ratcheting wrench) and if I keep tightening the tensioner eventually I can’t really tighten the 9/16 and it seemed cockeyed. I’m thinking my belt has lost some tension so even though I’ve cranked it quite a bit or possible a shop has slightly bent the bolt in a way I can’t see? I’m thinking I need to have a shop correct this when I decide to replace all the belts in the car.
So let me get this straight, Eric. After you set the tensioner and lock down the 3/4” (19mm) bolt and 14mm, you are supposed to back off the 13mm a bit!? I never heard this.
Correct. The top nut shouldn't really have any tension on it. Since at that point it's not doing anything. Otherwise, if the tensioner loosens up for some reason, it could bend that threaded shaft.
What about the D1sc Procharger what's the best way to do that manual tensioner to get as much belt life as possible. My belt I just took off when I pulled the motor out of my car basically had no ribs barely left on the belt itself. Thanks!
Hi sir, I have a corvette c7 with the LT1 416 stroker engine and I installed the F1A94 procharger with 4.13 head unit pulley and I’m planning to replace the head pulley to 3.85 with pump gas and I couldn’t find a clear lead for the size of the belt that will fits perfectly in my corvette. In addition, my current belt is K080450 could you please advise me what is the best belt number to be fit in my new upgrade? Or I don’t have to change the belt just tight it with the procharger tensioner?
How come you guys don’t do something similar to Griptec pulleys? I use a Gates RPM version belt and had it guitar string tight and was still seeing a bit of slip on a 3.70 pulley. I switched to their 3.625 pulley and all is great. I even have less tension on the same belt. 🤷🏻♂️
Griptec is a patented process. It works very well, however, depending on the application we have no issues making 1000hp with standard belts and 8 rib pulleys.
I like that top idler, gives the belt more contact patch on the blower pulley
Awesome video, thanks for taking the time to make it!
helpful vid. any chance a CARB kit is coming for the GT350?
I need more content like this! Thank you
1996 i had P600B on a 5.0 Mustang with a 12 rib tight as drum. That was a good unit.
The old faithful unit from decades ago! Glad to know you enjoyed it!

man, this video is so helpful. thank you
Glad to hear it!
Can yo make a video of properly tension the belt for 2009 Hemi HO system?
8:37 - Yeah that's real good! Best part.
What does the preload do for the supercharger and is the tighter the belt the better?

Well, this is fine and dandy, but what do you do on a application like a sn95 mustang, where there is no adjustment on the tensioner!?
Ditto...d1sc 04gt what can be done our tensioners suck
I have your original tensioner on my F1A setup on my 93 LT1 Camaro, can I switch to your new tensioner
Is Procharger going to make a heritage blower that is louder like an F1A-94
Can you explain how to do this on P1x CARB kit on a 2018 mustang GT? The bracket is a totally different configuration from a tuner kit.

hi can you do a video on crank support on gt350s what gonna help so crank dont snap

Do u use the factory air box with most of these kits?
which belt would you recommend for most manual tensioner applications?
If you can run a Gates RPM that is preferred, otherwise virtually any belt will work.
@@ProChargerSuperchargers thanks for monitoring these comments and responding!

@@ProChargerSuperchargers all good. I was just curious. 6 rib can be a pain. 👌🏼
@@ProChargerSuperchargers when are you guys coming out with new head units
so more tension = more hp ?
Won’t this hurt the crank?
gates rpm belt is discontinued
