  • @daviddaniels2499

    This brings back memories of my friend Bobber's outdoor 2' gauge railroad through his property. He had a Plymouth gas engine and 4 cars, all purchased from a local amusement park. It was a hoot to ride, even though it only went in a large circle, meandering past trees and over small trestles. He eventually moved and the railroad was dismantled.

    Awesome!!! This brings a whole new meaning to "going nowhere fast".

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  4 года назад +4

      You’re absolutely right it is the middle of nowhere. There’s an old joke this isn’t the middle of nowhere but you can see it from here. Well there goes in toward this place when they say that. This is the absolute middle of nowhere it’s a long drive on the two lane and then a long drive on the dirt road and then finally you get on a train and really go into the middle of nowhere

  • @warlordsquerk5338

    Now if i could ride on that railroad - but with a padded chair with a back and arm rests, I could quite peacefully and contentedly doze as the scenery rolls by. But if I can't ride the railroad I'm glad I at least have this video. Thank you for making it, it was a very pleasant and soothing one to watch :)

      David Dragonhammer Van really doesn’t want people coming by. Mostly because he wants to spend his time messing with the trains but he’s also you know security conscious. There’s no problem with people seeing it on video. He just doesn’t want them to know where it is because he doesn’t want them dropping in.

      Yeah I think at any given time if you had to walk out of there you’d be five or 6 miles from the nearest Road. Assuming somebody came by on that road. And there’s no cell phone service out there. If you run into somebody in the wilderness and say how do you get by without a cell phone will say what’s a cell phone?

Most of my friends over here in the UK are getting bored silly with lock down but I keep telling them to find some hobby or other to keep themselves fit. • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  4 года назад +1

      We’re not completely sure as Van no longer keeps track. Pun intended! At first it was tracking every inch of it by keeping track of how much rail he was putting down and that’s how we know that first loop was just over 1 mile. But in examining the aerial views and just trying to put measurement on all of the different routes it’s somewhere right around 10 miles. Probably just a little more

    All of those western cedars is almost looks like middle Tennessee , no offense it does.We have tons and tons, acre acres upon acres of their brother is it sister how about either. One dry summer and boom! We look like southern central Utah. Another awesome video! At 14:31 the shot of the Prickly Pear or that what we call cactus here in middle Tennessee.The red fruit was/can be eaten. Scorch the pickles off the green lobes and they are consumable.

    • @ToyManTelevision
      @ToyManTelevision  4 года назад

      Yes Flyers are a real threat out there. That very first year we were laying track a wild fire came through and we were really scared we were gonna lose the whole thing. With the fire department turned it in and headed south and that was that. But there’s always that danger. This is a pretty common look out here and with the cedar trees and everything in place it does look a tremendous amount like Central Utah which is where Karyn is from.
