Hi, after listening to Cyntoia brown - long I think I am beginning to understand the need to go back in order to move forward
I have had a fairly trauma free life so was speaking from a place of ignorance

My ex husband always saw everything as my fault so therefore we didn't need counseling that I just needed to change. Yet I was invisible to him. Sad but true

Good idea to seek counseling before the communication breaks down then it may be too late.

Immediately couples starts blaming each other without making efforts to accept no one is perfect, that's where problem starts, to some extend counselling may help if they are willing to work towards perfecting there marriage ..my take though

I think Counseling requires opening up too much to an outsider and I think I would struggle with that! I would not be forthright;
also going backwards to move forward, is it really necessary

I love your honesty and I can understand why you would feel that way. I think for the most part everyone feels uneasy when it goes to sharing personal things to people. I think once a rapport has been established, it does make it easier to share. And lastly, sometimes it is necessary to go backwards in order to fully understand what’s really going on. We don’t live in the past but we can understand and learn a lot about ourselves from the past.
