yeah, if the goal is to make a pedestrian only city, a line isn’t the way to do it… it maximizes the distance anyone has to go to get anywhere. there’s a reason why cities that predate cars are built with a dense center and with both housing and businesses spreading out together from the center. that way, you don’t have to go miles to get to work or get home

As someone who did some geography in middle school, the first thing that came to mind when I saw the real "line" is how it's gonna be a nightmare to live in it ventilation wise
I feel like if anything it's going to have way too much ventilation cause they have the end open pointing at the sea which is just going to channel the wind and intensify it like in places like sf where there're grids of skyscrapers, if they don't figure out how to manage it there's just going to be constantly strong wind blowing
