It was indeed an excellent presentation. Please guide in BIA website when u go to clinical guidance part, only few systems are there with algorithms, you're talking about those references given at these docs end which are to be opened and read separately? thanks in advance.
Ma'am I have read that we need IMT training mandatory to write CICE exam? Also that MRCP mandatory, etc. Can I write FRCPath micro 1 and 2 without int training, mrcp and still be a speciality consultant with license to practice?
It is unlikely if not impossible to get into UK training programme if you are an overseas graduate. Assuming you have a post-grad training in microbiology, you should go for CESR route to become a UK consultant. You do not need MRCP but your should show equivalent training. You wll need both FRCPath parts 1 and 2. I believe it is difficult to do CESR unless you are working in the UK in a non-training post (although nothing is impossible). Whether you can write part 1 and 2 without UK traning (I assume thats what you meant by int training) - yes you can as long as you fulfil the criteria. See microregistrar.com
Assuming you are from outside UK and have post grad in microbiology, your best route is SAS doctors (trust doctor, Specialty doctor, Specialist doctor). You can get these posts based on your experience in microbiology (for example specialist - 12 years, others less than that). You must have GMC registration or elligible for it. Exam will give you advantage. With part 1 you are likely to get trust doctor or specailty doctor.
Thank you for these helpful videos. I would even love to contribute to this channel. Im an M.D. Microbiology 1st year resident. If you who are reading this comment are also in a similar field of study/work, then reply if you wanna be friends and support each other for frcpath prep!
Thanks @CharanJit for your offer. I haven't started building this channel yet. At present my full effort is dedicated to building the moodlecloud platform (microregistrar.moodlecloud.com). Once that is complete, the 2nd phase will be the tutorials and I expect more videos in this channel as well. I shall ask if you are still interested.
