Thank you Frank for this talk and to Roshi and Upaya for making it possible. As a retired hospice and palliative nurse, I have observed such clinging, fear, angst and denial in most Americans about something which will happen to us all. This greatly increases suffering for themselves and their families at end of life. Sadly, I waited in hope for 45 years of my career for the "Healthcare" system to catch up ,which never happened. Most physicians (and the whole way our health care is delivered and paid for) still treat death as a disease which must be conquered at all costs, or they deny it altogether. The biggest of those costs seems to be much distress; physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Gratitude for your ongoing efforts to continue the conversation. In Gassho🙏 with deep bows.
Thank you for be here , Frank.
Beautiful. So true. I have been sitting this week next to a family member who has come back from the edge of death, and many of the things you describe here happened. Learning how to convey that life is precious is what I am sitting with as I sit with him.
I took 3 pages of notes. Thank you, Frank.
Love you Frank
So soft-spoken but absolutely revolutionary ideas.

Might be time to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. The dharma is great, don't get me wrong, but there is no true salvation in it eternally. The fact that we worry about death so much towards the end is proof.
I'm not sure how reflecting on Death at the end of life points to Jesus Christ. All peoples from all the ages have recognized the importance of death and have honored it in some way. Mat your belief serve you well in times of need. Others have different ways that are equally as valid. Frank is a blessing and helped me with the recent passage of my Mother. It was my good fortune to find him at the right time. Thank you!
