Armor master is a nice backbarset IF you want to run 5-5-2 with malacath. I swap between light armor with OS, grothdarr, armor master and malacath or heavy armor with your recent MagDK build with elf bane, OS, grothdarr and malacath. Both have their strengths!
Great to see this! I had taken a break from the game for a couple of years and back then it seemed like everyone was playing a magDk in Cyrodill. I am happy to see an updated build and I will have to try this out.
Use armor master set on back bar, trade channeled for light armor ward to proc AM and now you can slot malacath. Armor Master also gives the constant armor, and ward so losing major prot isn't that big of a deal not to mention no cast time. Its way bigger damage, you lose some health recov though, but all your jewelry top slots can be swapped to health recov since you just gained a ton of indirect sustain by increasing your damage and armor so much you can swap the one from recovery and malacaths beats 2 spell damage lines, swap those to health recov. Overall you would get better way better resist, and malacath.
Molten whip is way better. You gain 300 spell damage for 5 seconds, it also allows you to proc the extra damage on your time not only when the opponent is off balance or immobilized. I use to run flame lash, but with an unbuffed 25k healing tool tip on my rapid regen I would be stupid to pass up the extra damage.
Would be nice to see a picture of your sets, enchants etc. hard to follow up.. Otherwise really like your build, def gonna try this. Would vampire stage 2 be good to combo with this?

You could run silks but the thing is that damage you’re getting from the 5 piece doesn’t help your healing, just flame damage. I have 4 heals on the build in heavy armor and I still feel like I need more haha. I never tested if silks buffs the damage of Grothdarr directly, but if it does then maybe you could run it

Dear, then!!! You and many others test these builds on the puppets that are standing still testing it on a map boss oh if you really want to... Go to pvp and test it there the puppets show you good results but you have to see if against other players oh boss you resist so thanks to the nice video.
Caelan Snyder prob light armor skill passives, would need to do the math, but I don’t think you will have enough damage in 1vx situations with heavy armor, given the tankiness everyone is this patch.
Running heavy instead of light with eternal vigor is better imo recovery is massive and all prismatic you can run infused on all jewelery with spell dam I also think charged with disease glyph is better than berserker because it’ll proc minor defile should back bar the berserker glyph nonetheless tho this is a great build would def work and destroy in pvp

The red and green tree are whatever, but the blue tree matter. 23% master at arms, 10%blessed, 12% into the other taken that gives you damage and put the rest in spell erosion . Like I said, the other trees are just play style . The on other taken to point out is quick recovery. Have it at 10% and the all the other points in whatever . The green tree put 10% into healthy. The rest is just play style
syuwono essentially, it gives you a much higher chance to proc the burning status affect when applying flame damage. As a DK, every time you apply the burning affect you get mag back
Elijah Alexander I feel if you run elfbane, you’re running it just for Grothdarr. If you choose not to run elfbane, then you could put on skoria. Groth helps ALLOT with your sustain with combustion passive. Just keep that in mind
Tried the overwhelming orgnums-grothdarr set, you lose to every stam build out there, cant 2v1 or anything with this light armour build, best chance you got is 1v1 and thats not the easiest to find. you flop in 2 seconds, dmg is subpar and you've gotta spend most time spammin heals + you die in 1 stun

Grothdarr is the bread and butter. The build editor can’t quantify this effect. I’ve yet to run into someone I can’t kill. Especially with standard

I like running eye of the storm over standard too because it follows me and destroys ppl with all the dots, minor def and stun

yeah this patch sucks for healing too. i run eternal vigor elf bane and groth on my magdk and im tanky af while putting out damage.
