      yeah what a let-down. This would have been perfect. I understand the overall concept but I just need someone to walk me through how a quantum function like that is implemented. Just show me the gates, even.
      My problem is that the examples I’ve found are over my head, as they’re more complex and involved gnarly math expressions. This toy problem would have been perfect. I guess I’ll keep looking

    But you did not explain how to compute placing 3 people in 2 cars with QC at all. I was waiting for that and the video just ended. You solved that problem on CC but really did nothing on QM. Probably you should have said something like: after person A has been placed in car #0, person B will be automatically placed in the same car, and person C will be put in car #1. QC allows each person to be at the same time in car #0 and #1. But before placing anyone, they are all in both cars. Once you put one person in one of the cars, the "state" of the other people will be determined immediately in order to get the highest score. Also, when you have 100 people, you are not going to compute ~10^30 steps with QC, but only 100!

And he said may be in future but today it's really great to see that happening .I wish, that day I should have studied and researched on my idea but nevertheless I am happy that this is becoming reality

    The best way to explain two or more states at the same 'time', is accepting that time behaves strange at the quantum level. Almost like hitting the pause button. It's as though you can display a paused state at many points so there are many simultaneous states. The minute you observe the particle, the play button gets pressed again and sequence starts again and it gets normalized.

      I can imagine if you entangle a set of quibits with another set of quibits you can make it fifty percent faster than a Classical computer since when you apply the function to the quibit when it falls out of superposition you will get two solutions in parallel one from each of the entangled quibits but as far as that I don't know.
      I think the rest will remain a trade secret

  • @avi12
    @avi12 5 лет назад

    In order to accept the Superposition concept (1 & 0 simultaneously), you should briefly explain why it can exist in the first place:
    In Quantum Mechanics, scientists use equations that are about probability.
    SInce in probability you can't rely on a single answer, but on *chance* - you can't be sure about a spin state until it's set.
    Except, you can only be sure about it once you reveal what the state is. Until then, it's all about probability.
    Hence, the Superposition can exist, because until you didn't measure the state - it can be either one, and since you didn't measure yet - you consider it as "both".

    Now I wanted to start Coding and I started with a “For Dummies” book and went on from there.

    I do not know what to do now because there is so much general information online about coding and all I want to do is writing web-based programming mostly for websites and a gradual progression to pc video games and such.
    I honestly do not know what to do next and I would be eternally grateful for a nudge in the right direction; books, videos, articles and such that could be from your own work or an external source.

    Continuing my former comment: if you need the miniterms YOU KNOW THE SOLUTION, so the situation has to be that you know the logic function from the problem statement and you have to find the inputs that solve the problem. On the quantum arena this can be done applying Grover's algorithm. This moves you from 2 exp(n) to 2 exp(n/2), the question is ¿is there a quantum implementation with O(n) as Shor's algorithm does with factoring?

      Those 4 gates are:
      *1 Qqbit gates:*
      H Gate (Hadamard gate)
      PHASE
      T Gate
      *2 Qqbit gate:*
      CNOT
      And ofcourse there is also a MEASURE instruction/gate.

      Unless and until we actually measure it we cannot really know the value stored. This thing seems too interesting. I can't wait to get into college and take up quantum mechanics.

    Its the last day of my march break, and i was looking at a book on this: the whole thing is this, when a computer picks a random number, which is often in computation, it is not that random and they believe that the number can be replicated given all the conditions of the very materials of the computer and its states... The randomness is merely an illusion,but really limited by the material world. So they thought, what is truly random? And the answer was an electron, the first atom particle. And they thought, electricity is made of electrons that are choosing random numbers for us. So lets capture one, an electron, and turn it into a computer. I swear to God!

      Linux is a tool. Programming is a set of concepts. A basic understanding of linux will make programming much easier. For example, python is really difficult to get set up on windows, especially since there aren't pre-built packages of common libraries like numpy in PyPI, so you need to get whls from third-party sources. However, python comes preinstalled on most linux distributions, and pip works out of the box. On the other hand, knowing programming will make understanding bash come much more naturally. Since linux is really just an operating system, I think it's possible to jump in and learn programming on linux. There will likely be GUIs for everything, and you can slowly look to moving certain tasks to the terminal as you become more familiar with the tools involved in programming.
      Of course, I'm assuming you're referring to using linux as an operating system and learning shellscripting, not learning the backend, like how the kernel works. In case you're referring to the latter, you should make sure you have a very solid grasp of programming before even looking at it. The linux kernel development is infamous for prioritizing code quality and efficiency above all else, and is thus not very welcoming to new programmers (or even experienced ones that right less than optimal code)

    I didnt understand: for solving this problem should the quantum computer be run as many times as amount of configurations or just once?

    • @deniaxdeniax
      @deniaxdeniax 4 года назад

      only once, given that you have 3 Qubits for the 3 people problem (or 100 qubits for the 100 people problem) ..

    14:38 Could someone explain to me this: if cubit has 1 and 0 at the same time than why isn't it 100% and 100% instead of 50% and 50% probability?

    • @Cruz8R
      @Cruz8R 5 лет назад +1

      The probability aims at what the result can be AFTER you measure the Qbit.

      Because he is failing to tell you that one of those exists in our dimension while the other is in a different dimension! Quantum physics says that every atom has a twin in another dimension. getting use of those atoms in other dimensions makes it so you can have twice the computing power. The problem is, screwing around in dimensions that don't belong to us is DANGEROUS

    My problem is that superposition is only a theory, cannot be proven or disproven either, and once studied gives results of either or! So how can a computer run based off information that forever remains truly unknown? Superposition?

    Hello CS Dojo. I always have enjoyed your contents. I write you this again in case you didn't see my comment on other videos. If you answer to my comment, it is okay for you to ignore the same question on other videos. I have one question about how to create your contents differently from others.
    I mean some topics are already known by others and you also might learn from somewhere else. But I am wondering how you learn something from somewhere and teach it without violating copyright or laws. I am not offending you. I want to get your advice because I also want to create an educational channel that teaches people what I have learned and known. Thank you.
