    When there is so much snow under the belly of the car, not even 4x4 helps. Winter tires would also be mandatory. So it is not about Grip Control being bad.

    • @davetaylor8156
      @davetaylor8156 7 лет назад +7

      The video title is misleading then, because it implies Grip Control is pointless, when even a proper 4x4 would not be able to cope with the conditions.

      @adamme8369 7 лет назад +6

      True, and look what 'type' of snow we have. Frozen on top and beneath 'dry' like a powder. Even 4WD would have a problem.

      Agreed, this video is misleading.

    What the point of this video? Your 3008 has S+M tires, not winter tires, so, even with 4x4 the car won`t go forward

    Where are your chains for snow mate? If you do not know - that is exactly the situation you should have one and put them on your car.

    The snow is too much a front-wheel drive car. If you have AWD, you will get out with no problem in this case. You don't even need the subaru awd system for similar situation. It's a real pity Peugeot economized with the AWD.

    We've tested New 3008 on the snow without Grip Control and this car is perfect if we talking about FWD SUV. You can watch by video - ruclips.net/video/YkKNMxMogCc/видео.html

    LOL, you know it's going to be stuck in there, they still had fun with it.
    AGP won't make the job of a 4x4 but it does help your 2FWD to surpass some difficulties.
    Here you see what it actually can do without getting into trouble:
    ruclips.net/video/k3zupy4xoaQ/видео.html
    And this guy actually had a lot more fun with it in high snow:

    @Hmmmppffff 7 лет назад +11

    why are you doing this with a FWD car ? XD
    I mean its funny, defenetly. But its is still a heave FWD car and clearly cant go through this deep snow. Most AWD would have problems with it.
    Poor Peugeot

  • @davetaylor8156
    @davetaylor8156 7 лет назад +4

    So, grip control isn't that great is it? So much for Peugeot's claims, because this is no better than a standard FWD car without additional traction aids. Clearly shite.

    • @stephen10.
      @stephen10. 7 лет назад +8

      the grip control works but in this case the level of snow is too high. even a 4X4 would have problem with this level.

    • @stephen10.
      @stephen10. 7 лет назад +2

      the underside of the car touch the snow and 2 wheels are not enough to start and it depends if the tyres are for snow or not.

    • @davetaylor8156
      @davetaylor8156 7 лет назад +1

      I believe the Advanced Grip Control pack on the 3008 comes with all weather tyres. I have seen the car deal with snow and ice, and had thought it would do better here, but I agree the snow is very deep. At first view I wondered why they had taken it off road into snow that deep, but then realised they had probably left it parked on that slope, and it had snowed overnight...doh!!!...lol!!!

    • @intrepidmilotic5999
      @intrepidmilotic5999 7 лет назад

      indeed, that is what i said, but everyone is so blind because the 3008 looks good. it is not practical nor safe compared to others.

    • @stephen10.
      @stephen10. 7 лет назад +3

      What are you talking about ? 5008 has 5 stars for crash test and a good handling. The size is good too.
      On this video there is a problem because the snow is too deep for 2 wheels. The underside touch the snow.

    Одним словом, французы. Им говоришь, что кроссовер - это прежде всего суть, а они говорят - это прежде всего форма. Вот и ездите на свих переднеприводных "кроссоверах" и гадайте от чего они так плохо продаются.
