Yeah that was a tiring day, but that's what I enjoy the most. I wanted to try pushing really hard day 1 just to see if I could "force it". I think my strategy will change a bit in the future.
it's a high fenced hunting preserve. They are introduced there to be hunted. There are many exotic species that are "farmed" for lack of a better word, but they are very much wild animals with a LOT of ground to cover, if they wish.
I don't use any cover scents. Very difficult especially in FL where it is so hot. I tried scent elimination years ago but it doesn't really work. If scent elimination stuff worked, criminals would use it to get away from dogs. I just hunt the wind and sometimes you get busted and other times you don't. I have been hunting my whole life, but others jump right into it and find success very quickly. No reason for you not to take it up. Head on out and have fun with it! Nothing to lose and lots of fun to gain.

if hunting isnt a challenge then whats the point? thats why they call it hunting not killing,even in a high fence scenerio it can be challenging unless its a canned hunt

Texas has some free range black buck but idk about their regs on stone points
"Still-hunting" makes the deer very wild, and difficult stalking. I still-hunted for years, and have seen many white tails saying goodby.
