Just bought a Lectric Trike to begin rescuing my balance and pedaling with my new leg. Wait until 70 when LiFE begins! Now have a 2-Wheel goal to celebrate my Diamond Jubilee.
Did you see the beautiful deadfall timber that could have been selectively harvested and opened the ground for natural regeneration? If in CalifornIa, it is my understanding a separation tax is paid in advance; this policy promotes clear cuts or making a selective, uneven age forest uneconomic.
Those technical rocky trails, I recommend elbow and knee pads. Tip: keep up momentum on the uphill, Keep pumping, weight off the handlebars, don't be so cautious, much less likely to fall. Great heart exercise!
I don't know Debbie...I can't remember seeing any of your bike rides that technical. But you and John did it! Kudos to your grandson for being so attentive. Such an adventurous family!
Great video! Taylor Creek is one of my favorite places on Lake Tahoe. The stunning sunset and your flashback sequences had an "On Golden Pond" vibe to them--just the Sierra Nevada version. 😂
Hi Debbie. The lake a such reminded me of Moosehead Lake in Maine. It’s a fab area with dispersed and organized campgrounds. All free. Lovely trails to ride and walk.
Thanks for taking us along on a special day for you. Love your enthusiasm and attitude toward learning & improving your skills. Your heartwarming video hit me right in the feels! Cute time jump at the end❤
Great great video. We do not have grandkids….yet so can only imagine the emotions of getting to do all of that. Proud for you! As always thanks for taking us along.
What a great video and ride! Multigenerational rides are rare and priceless. I enjoyed a ride with our son today. ❤️ That Harry Chapin song always brings a tear to my eye.
Greetings from Williams, AZ, on Route 66. Should be back in CA in a couple days for the first time since Apr 2022. I love Hope Valley especially in the Fall. Have hiked, cross-country skiied, but not biked it. Thanks for bringing us along. I appreciate the Cats in the Cradle remark
What an epic ride for everyone to enjoy. That looked challenging, Grandma & Grandpa. It's a good thing your family was to help at times. I personally would have down it. Otherwise, it was a great video, nice scenery, nice information.
What an awesome ride, so lovely to see 3 generations getting out and at it. Makes us both wish we were back there with our Tinkers, pretty sure I know one person who would have tried to ride that trail 🥴😁
Somebody had a cool little camping rig there at the end. Love your photography, nothing like some beautiful nature shots to ooh and aah at. You guys guys did an awesome job of riding that trail. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks, 😆🚴♂🚴👍. Thanks for sharing the ride, loved it!
I felt like I had a little work out just watching, lol. And then teary eyed seeing footage from days gone by (what a treasure!). And ending with that gorgeous sunset. Thank you for sharing your ride! I do wonder how much of the electric bike powering/assisting your ride you can use on an off road trail like this?
Oh, what a ride! You guys are so inspirational. Although, if we tried mountain bike trails like that we'd probably end up riding in awesome class B ambulances 😅
Full suspension, 29" wheels, high ground clearance, superlight, 12-speed, mid-power pedal assist. Why do you need all this? I think you answered all these questions😄 If one wants some solitude, adventure and exercise go ride single track trails deep into the woods and mountains. I did it all summer on a Class 1 and I'm 65😁
Wow, kudo's to you and John forgetting out there. I'm the same age and also taking into consideration my limitations. Better to get out there and participate then go gonzo and get hurt. Takes too long to heal as we get older. So, cool the family generational outing and your comment about a bit of role reversal on who is looking out for who, spot on. Between your Tahoe area videos and Owen and Lynn's NewFoundland videos we have been entertained and thrilled with future spots to visit.
What a great video to watch first thing Sunday morning. Family is everything! I envy you two. Pretty sure since we are the same age your max HB should not be in the 140s. That being said be careful out there and I would have loved to be along for this adventure.
LOL. I wish. Thought of you yesterday when watching “Rob Words” video on 10 German words we need to confiscate in English. That’ll never happen. Too hard to spell!
Thanks for the video! Good work! Mtn Bikes are dangerous! My Levo is much more capable than I am..I have been on some trails and fire roads that were just “not fun”…that being said I’m on pace for 3000 +miles 130 rides off road..yr…I’m over 70…just got to be smart about picking your spots to ride
OMG, you're spot on. I love them. Got them when we visited a Canadian Tire store somewhere in Nova Scotia, I think. I'm going to get another pair next time we are passing through.
Congrats, I hope I’m still riding at 69! Incidentally you get an extra pat on the back you were all riding at over 7500 ft to boot! Also that isn’t an e-bike sanctioned trail, they need to start welcoming e-bikes IMO it gives access to our federal, state and local lands but with the crazy California politics I’m not holding my breath.
I wanted to savor the beauty of the area but found myself watching the trail so you wouldn't fall. LOL
This video just brings tears to my eyes. I love a family that loves to be together. Congratulations on raising one!!
Thank you so much!

That’s awesome. Bikes are life changing.
when ever i hear anyone breathing heavy while exercising it warms my heart especially myself, its a good sign !!!!!!!
The look down memory lane brings tears to my eyes, great ending to an action packed video!
Nice , easy, scenic trail from the perspective of our trail experience. Riding within one's abilities is always the rule.
Not all mountain bikers want to "shred the gnar", myself included! I wish I could find a group like yours to ride with!
That was quite a trail. Beautiful but treacherous. That would be a broken hip waiting to happen for me.
Loved this! Love South Lake Tahoe
Nothing better than sharing time and what we love 🚴with our generation ❤❤❤
Do it now…enjoyed your video!

Wow...that was something. Beautiful video. Thank you

It was certainly up there for us but the fun overtakes the fear.
This is the most beautiful mountain biking video I've ever seen.
The views, the cinematography and the music were perfect.
Thank you so much!
@@FromShetoMe - I loved the song "Lens Flare", which I've added to my play list. I came back to watch this video again.

Simply BEAUTIFUL!

I think we can find better trails for Dean. 🥴

Love the final scenes, thanks for your memories🎉

It gives us enough assistance that we can almost keep up with our son. We both ride a lot more than we used to.
Wow, the last scenes are spectacular...a sunset to remember, for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the ride ❤️
I love watching your videos! Today was special experiencing your great family bonding and enjoying your time together!
Oh, what a ride! You guys are so inspirational. Although, if we tried mountain bike trails like that we'd probably end up riding in awesome class B ambulances 😅

Nothing beats it!
Love how your son still jumps the rocks. That will change…😂. Lucky you to be able to do these days all together. ❤
Yes, his jumping days are numbered but we’ll keep it a secret. 😅

What great video! You do such amazing things!

John says max is 150? But I could tell I was maxing out.
Very admirable 👏👏👏 Thank you for your time and efforts in sharing this adventure ♥️
Amazing riding skills Deb! What a wonderful multi generational experience. As always, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your video. Just by watching you riding your bikes on these paths I lost some calories!
LOL. I wish. Thought of you yesterday when watching “Rob Words” video on 10 German words we need to confiscate in English. That’ll never happen. Too hard to spell!

Well said!
I noticed your GoodLife Fitness gloves. I’d say that they are a long way from where you purchased them. I belong to GL Fitness in Windsor ON Canada.
OMG, you're spot on. I love them. Got them when we visited a Canadian Tire store somewhere in Nova Scotia, I think. I'm going to get another pair next time we are passing through.
Should grandparents be allowed on such a gnarly trail ?
LOL

I agree. But I’m not sure whether that was federal jurisdiction or state. Either way, rules do need updating.
I normally like those kind of trails, tho with less rocks and hike a bike. I'm as young as you and don't like that jarring either.
I gotta say some your bike rides don’t look very fun. 😉😉
Maybe, but this one sure was.
