I think in order to fully get over somebody, especially if you’re a man, is that you need to understand that this other person was betting against you. They were counting on meeting and dating someone else they deem better than you. So if they ever come back, because you leveled up/they couldn’t date someone “better”, you would live with that thought forever. Idk, it’s just hard for me to grasp being in a relationship again with a person that was betting against me and thought they were better than me.
They may not necessarily were betting against you, rather perhaps only doing what they thought best for coping with the loss of your relationship too. Different people use different coping mechanisms.

However your point of view is valid. I realize that two things can be true and my EGO wants to be angry to justify my own anxiety.

They were terribly insecure.. one anxious and the other avoidant. I’ll look for someone more secure now.

@b2k-desiel630 I didn't take things slow and cautiously when he reached out because he lied that he was moving out of the country. He doesn't know that I have proof he is still in town. Im back into no contact since he's pretending to be in another country. Day 15 NC now.
