- Danny Briere and the Flyers might be done making any significant moves this offseason. If that’s the case, it’s not a DISASTER for Philly, but it does mean next summer is a huge deal for the franchise. How are Charlie and Bill feeling about the slow offseason, and kicking the can to 2025?

I honestly wouldn’t mind sucking this year and trading vets at the deadline to load up for the future.
Smart waiting for the draft and more cap space to pull the trigger. Why do we need to rush things when this front office was given a dismal cap space and contract situation.
No shit guys no big moves this time of year. I suggest you guys take a vacation as well experts
I hope he knows what he's doing.. Most outsiders have no clue the direction this franchise is going in.
They know the importance of this coming draft, and they also likely know most teams won't move that first until they get closer to the trade deadline, or the draft, when things start cooking. It's possible there conversations around trading guys out, might have been heavily weighted to the 2024 draft....which they likely weren't to hot for clearly, unless they did manage to sneak into the top 10.
This so far is not a rebuild. It's the same disjointed half assed middling retool a la Hextall and Fletcher.
I don't mind a patient approach to the off-season. No reason to rush things just because Matvei is coming over, we have talent for him to play with and Danny and the gang didn't love this draft so they're stock pile picks and see if there's some talent to be had that way.
you only pigeon hole yourself as a front office the longer you say, we aren't going to be any good next season. They really should have used season 1 to shit the bed, because now they are kind of expected to make the playoffs or we are regressing again.
