I just ordered this box on the 13th from Amazon (the 32x4GB). I have an old Mecool box (Edal BB2 PRO Amlogic S912 64 bit Octa core RAM 3GB DDR4 ROM 16GB) that I bought in 2017. I used it on my porojector screen in my living room. It was buffering (maybe because it had only Android 6.0)

The only annual boxes that update to the latest versions of Android are the Nvidia Shield and the Amazon Fire TV stick and cube. All Ugoos boxes have many updates but not to the next version of Android.

Don't break the bank on it. Just choose one with about 3 - 4 USB 3.0 ports and LAN port would come in handy. Anker, Ugreen, and a couple more good brands. Just be mindful to purchase a Type A USB hub and not a Type C hub.
Could you do a video on how to make the game emulators on the box run a little fast? Some n64 games run a little slow and some of them are unplayable. Is the n64 emulator pushing the system to the max or is there something I can do to make it run faster?
Sorry I don't have knowledge in that area. I may know how to install them but tweaks to make them run faster you will have to turn to the forums for that
There is usually an option under audio settings to switch between HDMI and optical. If there is no option and you are not seeing the red light then it's not on.
Amazon prime video is not working properly. says not enough storage whereas i have installed additional sd card and allowed storage in app permission. still before buffering it says that it needs 20mb more storage. sometime it works when i.clear cache. help me with this x98 mini.
Apps don't usually read expandable storage, they usually look at your default internal storage. The same way they don't choose to install to shared internal storage
@@tvboxstop Is there an issue with VLC on this box with regard to playing videos from external device? Vlc will read it when you initially connect the external drive and then a few minutes it will disconnect and external files will no longer show available
@@ghievillanueva594 try the MX player it has the same features as VLC even more. It can play AV1 videos where VLC cannot because they have not yet updated. MX player also supports surround sound audio passthrough.

That because Google play services are not updating to the latest version. You will have to use the APKpure to install them. Open chrome browser and install APKpure. It contains ads, but what doesn't these days.
Ha Ha you are surely new to this arena. That version of root check does that for all versions, because they never updated their software for years now. Simply install Root Checker on the play store and you will get your Android 11. By the way Android stopped naming their OS from Android 11, so clearly the app has nothing else to read. The Oreo is a glitch and clearly does not apply. OK friend? It's Android 11 not Android 8.🧐

Hi Nick, I have obtained this box because of your recommendation but I am having trouble with the update. The update stops within seconds and states that I have no internet. However, the internet is wired and working as I am able to stream anything through this box. any help would be appreciated.
It's Nick. And that is indeed weird. I did also get that but just once. After I rebooted and connected via Wi-Fi is worked. It's called wireless update, maybe it can only update wirelessly.

The Miracast feature on the box is not for connecting to devices, it's for devices connecting to it. So on the projector open wireless display, and on the Android box go to the play store and install an app called Miracast Wi-Fi display - play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phongphan.miracast&hl=en Open the app and scan for the projector and pair to it

The app is supposed to link automatically with the update server. You don't have to search for the firmware. Click check for updates and it will search for itself.
