Actually Jre, all of them were dead since I need you, only Jin and V were alive. The rest committed suicide and only Jin and V were left. At the beginning, V called Jin, and said "i wanna see my friends" which basically means he wants to die. And so everything in this video, is a hallucination of Jin that his friends are still there enjoying time together, when in actual fact, it was just him and V. SO u realise that when V laid down on that mattress, he closed his eyes and imagined rapmon waking him up-- but when Jin came, Jin only hugged V and not the rest. ANd so as the video progresses, u can see that thr are signs of each member of how they died. Like J hope falling asleep randomly anywhere-- cuz he died of overdose in i need u. Suga fiddling with his lighter-- which he used to burn himself in the motel. Rapmon and his 'lollipop' that apparently became a cigg and exploded in the gas station. Jimin who was sleeping on the lorry with a blanket, and Jhope came over to cover him up more-- which Jimin was freezing cold in the bathroom. Then there is Jungkook who was balancing on the floor etc.
And rapmon wrote 'you need to live' on the glass-- prolly directed to Jin. As u can see in the scene where V climbed up that high thingy, everyone else was calling him down but Jin just looked in shock and confusion. So V jumped and now Jin is the only survivor left. Plus that polaroid, if suga was alive he would appear in that polaroid-- but the thing is he didnt bcuz well he was just an imagination of Jin's. :)

I actually believe that Rapmon wrote that on the mirror for Jhope bc remember Jhope stared at his reflection in the mirror before he took the pills. and I believe that V was also a part of hallucinations. In the beginning when V was crying "I want to see you, hyung" I'm pretty sure he was talking about Jin. I have two theories. My first theory is that V is still alive and in a bad place away from Jin. Notice how throughout the entire MV you constantly see V standing or walking along high places, as if it's a cry for Jin to save him. My second theory is that he killed himself after he called Jin. Notice that in that picture Jin took of the boys at the beach when it developed none of them were in it, including V. and Suga didn't show up in his picture with Jin either. If V was alive, why didn't he show up in the picture?

+Bilal Nuru (Bille) when Rap Mon took a photo of Jin and Suga at the gas station, he put it in the glove compartment. Then at the end Jin took a look at it and Suga wasn't in the photo, which most likely means Jin was just hallucinating his friends since they had already died.
And in the end they keep each others bad fate away. Like Kookie blowing out Suga's lighter, RM writing to stay alive on the mirror that J-hope looks at before taking the pills. Or Jimin in the back of the car shivering havin the blanked pulled up for him by J-hope. RM beeing welcomed inside the car instead of gettin money thrown at him after refilling the gas. V beeing able to phone his hyung in his darkest times.
It's when they loose these livelines of hope/ reminders of the good in live, that things go downhill.
This is how live works, the bad will go away and the good will not be permanent but there is hope in this.

+Gummy Blossom I don't know that INEEDU exactly has a positive END to it, but I clearly see some good in this whole mess. I fear that the prologue shows the good moments before INeedU happens rather than showing a rehabilitated V. But I like to thik that BigHit has some positivity to share.
And I stand by the fact, that sometimes you need the bad side of things to see the good you experience.
TL:DR: I believe that the positive relationship they share with each other is what guards them from things turning for worse. -- Message of the Day: Bee good to your friends, it pays off(Not in the form of material wealth but in good moments). ;)

After figuring out what it meant (In the I Need U original version, everyone except for Jin and V died. In the video the two are having hallucinations of all of the other members still being there, they don't believe that they died. What Rap Monster wrote on that mirror said "As long as we're all together, I'm happy." and while they were sitting down around the fire, Jin was holding the Polaroid picture of the members he took but none of the members showed up, a hint that they aren't really there, but Jin thought nothing of it, still thinking that they are still alive. When V is about to jump off and commit suicide to be with the dead members, they were encouraging him because they wanted him to "Join them". That's why he smiled before jumping. At the end of the video, after the credits, it shows Jin sitting alone in that truck after the hallucinations stopped. He takes out the Polaroid picture Rap Monster supposedly took of him and Suga, but frowns at what he sees, finally realizing that they are all gone - only he shows up, no Suga.) I cried so hard when I watched it a second time. I mean it was the hardest I have ever cried.

He killed his father, Jin has died and he tried to get advice from his father, he came and saw his father being abusive. All have the members have been acting out as you can see in the music video Run, But V killed his father. Didn't want to. This is my theory.

I have the whole story mapped out finally. I joined the fandom late XD
Jin is dead. Prologue is first because well it is called prologue. So Jin is already dead. Then V jumps into the water trying to kill himself and in the next song which is Run you can see that V lives and comes out of the water or so it seems. Maybe V rises into the afterlife after coming out the water. Jin however says dead because well this was all just looking from his perspective he is a ghost roaming the world. (Also could mean why Jungkookie was so suprised to see him yet no one else noticed. Jungkook could see him but no one else could? Maybe Jungkookie just has that ability or a third eye lol) Maybe run was about running away from memories of their TWO dead friends. Now with 2 friends dead in I NEED U everyone else is sad and everyone else dies too to join them. In the end of I NEED U they all meet eachother in the end which is why you can see everyone together at the end. (IM SORRY I KNOW ITS BAD)

I think Rapmon accepts it first, as he is the leader. Then it's Jungkook accepting it, seeing that he believes Jin will look after them. Jhope accepts after a while. Suga and Jimin were struggling, but managed to accept it. V had the hardest time, but finally escaped and accepted.

So that theory saying that BTS members died in I Need U MV except Jin and Tae is real.
Jin is hallucinating his friends and misses these moments he had with them. Tae called him after his accident; he had his eyes closed before imagined NamJoon waking him up with the rest of the members. Jin only hugs Tae at the beginning and do you guys remember at the end of I Need U MV original ver, only Jin and Tae got individual shoot? NamJoon write "You need to survive" maybe address to Jin because it was to late for him so he's alarming his friend; also, Yoongi didn't appear in Jin picture at the very end. That means only Jin and Tae are actually alive.
Tae situation is ambiguous, maybe he drown himself after suffering this much. Jin is left alone at the end, no noises of his friends anymore, just him. The only survivor.
Edit : Just realise that now, but at the end, before Tae jumped in the water, when he's looking at the members (who, I think, already died), they all were like "Come on friend, let's join us and your pain will disappear" and Tae smiled at them like "I'm coming, my friends."
I am noticing now that in the credits "Non, je ne regrette rien", from Edith Piaf is the backgroung music along with house of cards I think it is?

The story of this is that Jin remembers the other 6 because they died in I Need U and now he's alone and remembers the good times they had and that's why it's called prologue.

flawless Ok so the I need you concept was confusing and I think this is a follow up to what happened to them. Jin and Tae were the only ones alive but sadly tae committed. Jin essentially went to all the places they hung out in the better days. Jin took the picture of where they were but when he looked at that one picture he saw they weren't there. This is my theory but it's obvious the others who had no chance of survival died. Jin just went to capture memories I'm sure. I don't think he saw tae commit but he went to the place where it happened. Again a sure theory because it seems to only make sense. Also when Rapmon showed them the pic he took at the station Jin looked sad.

I watched the video where they filmed it, and a stuntman jumped for the video, but then V jumped for fun
Why did I get all emotional watching this???!!!! At the part where Suga and Kookie were sitting together at the seaside and you said "homies for life" I remembered J Hope's twitter update where he said "With my brothers for life" and I just almost started crying!! I love this family so much!
Alright, here's what most people think:
This is the aftermath of I Need I because in beginning V had blood all over his hands (he killed that man in the mv) Apparently, Jin and V were the only two still alive, but V killed himself? Idk. Anyways, since all the Polaroids Jin had were undeveloped, and in the end, it was only him in the Polaroid picture (Yoongi should have been in the picture too) people think Jin was hallucinating and making up the memories. So, V was the last one to kill himself. This has flaws though, like: who took the picture if Rapmon was already dead? Add on if you want :)
that picture wasn't undeveloped. I thought so too at first till I looked closer and realized it was the picture of the beach and the members Jin had took, but none of the members even showed up in the picture. I believe V was dead the entire time. Notice that when he woke on the mattress all the members except Jin ran to him. Most of the video, Jin spent standing off at a distance and taking pictures of the dead members including V. and when V jumped, Jin was the first to notice but didn't even try to stop him. He just kept recording. I believe that V was also part of the hallucination in Jin's mind
The picture of jin is u look closely kinda looks like a selfie, like Jin took it himself since u can kinda see something covering a bit of the camera, it could be his hand.. Idk I think that's how it is.

I’m going with my guts to interpret this teaser. It could be wrong. Higher chance of it being wrong.
1. It’s an extension to the I Need You MV. V comes out with bloody hands, leaving the remains of his murder in the music video.
2. I think this is the biggest feature - the ones who have lines, who we can actually hear their voice are the members who are still alive and those who are dead can’t speak. A dead person can’t speak. J-hope, Jimin, Suga are dead. Jin, Taehyung, Rapmon, and Jungkook are alive. There are changes to number 2 at the bottom
3. In I Need You MV, J-Hope overdoses on pills, Jimin drowns and Suga bursts into flames
4. Sometime in the middle, Jin asks to go on a trip/vacation. No one says a word but just nods. Since they are dead (can’t speak).
5. Taehyung says hyung i miss you and just like that picture, he commits sucide.
6. Rapmon writes “We must survive” on the mirror. I’ll explain more of this later.
7. I think Jin recording the boys represents Jin looking back at their memories. He’s not recording it now but he’s just looking into it. Outro: Love is not over plays. In this song, there’s a part where time is turning back (for those of you who don’t know, there is a part where time turns backwards toward the end of the song as you hear Kook mumbling things; that is actually the chorus sung backwards.)
8. Jin is living in his memories. He thinks that they are alive in his head. That’s why Jin’s face turns bleak when he looks at the picture that Rapmon took of Yoongi and him. He’s back to reality.
9. Jin’s car is starting to get full of water. This too can be seen as suicide.
10. When Rapmon wrote that “we must survive,” it seems to be rational thinking, to be able to distinguish between reality and memories. If he were to live in the memories and get swept by them, the end would be death.

11. In the lyrics to [Butterfly], [I still can’t believe it everything seems like a dream. Don’t disappear/go away]
Taehyung becomes a butterfly and flies away. It seems that this is what Jin wants to say to V.
Jin probably knew from the very beginning that they are all dead people. And of course he doesn’t want to accept that. He tries hard to deny it by reliving his memories. He wants to stop time. But at the end, he looks at the picture and is awakened to reality.
12 (changes to number 2). When the members find Taehyung, Jungkook says “Oh it’s Jin hyung.” It seems to be the afterworld (time after death). At the very beginning of the clip, Taehyung says “Hyung i miss you.” We can’t tell who he’s referring to but V seems to commit suicide. Afterwords, V enters the afterworld and Jin seems to be following after.
13. In I Need You, Jimin drowned. When Jimin’s shivering in the back of the truck, J-Hope covers him with a blanket. Yoongi died in the fire. Jungkook blows out the lighter. J-Hope has narcolepsy. Yoongi wakes him up.
In other words, they are calming down their dead souls, somehow related to comforting each other.
14. This (picture) is from I Need You MV. The shadow is a butterfly (I DIDN’T NOTICE THIS BEFORE BUT IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE NOWWWW). Like I wrote in #11, the lyrics keeps mentioning butterfly. Taehyung becomes a butterfly and flies away.
15. One of the songs from I Need You track is Taehyung’s composed song Hold Me Tight
16. On Jin’s camera, it says HD but whenever we see through the camera, it’s broken (bad quality). It seems to be related to the ending, where he decides to drown himself.
17. In the east hemisphere, the butterfly is recognized to be a figure that leads people to the world beyond life. In the beginning, Jin keeps recording Taehyung and butterflies.
18. At the end, where the ending credits go up, there’s that song. It’s an OST from the movie Inception. It’s a song used to wake people up from their dreams.

all the members ended up dying except for V and Jin , Vs hands were bloody from the murder from I need U , Jin and V couldn't really accept the fact that they were gone and were hallucinating thats why Suga wasn't in the photo , But as you saw V killed himself and Left Jin alone
I'm pretty sure that V was dead the entire time. In the beginning when V woke up on that mattress all the members ran to him, except for Jin, who stood off at a distance and simply took pictures of them almost the entire MV. Also, when Jin snapped that picture of all of them at the beach, when the picture developed none of them were even in the picture, further confirming my theory that maybe V was dead the entire time.

The whole thing is like the prologue to i need u and on the mirror rap monster writes 'we need to survive' in i need u, apart from jin everyone dies so jin is like remembering the times they had together and at the end in the photo the reason jin's smile drops is because suga was meant to be in the photo but because he died it was kinda all of jin's memories/imagination
For those of you who don't fully understand~
The whole story is that basically everyone died except Jin, who was hallucinating everything. It's basically the aftermath of I Need U. I also heard that some members were trying to save others. Like how in I Need U, when Suga burned down the place. When Jungkook blew out the lighter, it was like he was trying to save his hyung. Or how also in I Need U, Jin had 6 petals, each one representing a member.
In the beginning of the video, I heard that V was talking to Jin on the phone, saying something along the lines of "hyung, I miss our friends". Also, the picture V held while he was laying down near the beginning, was apparently the same guy he killed in I Need U. In the picture, the male was holding a baby, so we're guessing that the male he killed was actually his dad.
I'm not sure if all of this is 100% correct, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or add your own theories, but it's stuff most of us army's believe.
Here's some other things-
The picture Jin was holding at the little campfire thing was from the very end of I Need U, and I think he was asking the members if they wanted to go there (I think).
At one scene, all the members left the truck except Jin, an example showing that he's only hallucinating. You can tell because while he's recording outside the trucks window, in the rearview mirror, none of the other members are there.
Taehyung longed to jump twice, but only jumped the second time when there was water.
Apparently "OMN" might mean something to the story, because its graffitied everywhere in the beginning, but I'm not sure what it means.
I think what they mean by "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life" is that even the most beautiful moments can also be the most saddest and painful.
Also, my brother pointed this out to me, but he thinks For You is before I Need U (a hint is that RM is working at the gas station). JK tries to get the girl, and I Need U is when she breaks his heart

Okay Jin died, once he dies he is their to watch out for all the members but then he starts seeing that all of them are becoming depressed and violent due to him dying. In Forever Young they are starting to recognize everything bad they did and all the harm they caused is gonna take some time to get resolved in order to start off new. One theory is that V was the last one to get out the maze due to him having done the most harm which was killing his father. Throughout everything Jin is just watching over them recapping memories, telling them what's wrong what's right. In Fire they are like saying that they got rid of everything bad which in that case can be like as if they burned them. In Save Me its saying that they might need someone to save them before they go back into their old habits or something. Jin died, he's a guardian angel to them, the rest are trying to get over all the memories they had with him along with making new ones on their own, see Justt Ally's theory of every vid

I love & respect you!! Don't think that you're supposed to do something to be "entertaining," it's supposed to be natural. And especially with this teaser - things were so painful, sad, broken, and symbolic that if you just said nothing and watched attentively, it'd still be okay with me. "Fun" reaction to this isn't appropriate by any of the reactors, I think.

Rap Monster wrote "We need to survive" on the mirror. When you said "I hope nothing bad happens to them" I thought "Well, I NEED U happened lol" and the credit song with the orchestra was from the Inception soundtrack.
_I swear this should be a drama. Like go deep into each of their lives, tell us what happened. All this theories making me sad AND confused._

From what I got from the prologue is that It was a more detailed story line on what happens before and after the boys meet in the after life. In the beginning V called Jin and said he was sorry he couldn't live anymore . And then we met V in the dry up pool with the other boys. It was then Jin joined them ,hints the boys seeing jin with the camera. Everything that happen after (except the Bonfire scene ) was all in Jin mind. Pretending the others were there but it wasn't until the end when he saw the Polaroid picture he realized his friends were no longer here. Now back to the bonfire scene when Jin pulls out the polaroid picture it was not develop right , this was the same picture of Suga and Jin in which Rapmon took. This signals the their lives are now over , they are free from hurt and pain .
So hopefully that helps anyone who was confused 😁

The song played at credit is in Inception movie which showing scene that people must wake up from their dream. I think this is refer to Jin who was hallucinating and should realize that all his friend already died.

Did you guys notice that bangtan's songs, like from the last album, they first released the teaser of I need you and it was in a sweet, and slow mo version so we thought that is the song, but when the album teaser came out where they played short bits of all the songs, then we heard the I need u song was actually a fast-paced song.
Now, dejavu, they releases the 'butterfly's teaser first and it sounded like a soft,sweet song, but when they released the album teaser, I heard butterfly does not sound like a slow song anymore. Banging beats can be heard behind the chorus.
Seriously, these people involved are really really smart. Made us all think, "Oh, this is the song, yeah I love it already" but when the official came out "ong what happened, but I love it still"😭
Oh my gosh ugh ✨ I honestly can't wait for the comeback
