About two years I think. Two years of which he has left that video and it's glaring assumptions unaddressed to this day as far as I know.
And that's not to mention the utter falsehoods in not just that video, but previous history videos. Both William the Conquer using spiked shields from the same video (which was from a well documented battle), as well as in his For Honor video, back when he did his own research; he claimed vikingrs did not make quality weapons and armor of their own, nor did they use horses.
Both takes resulted in the historic community of RUclips to call him out on it both times.

N did kill Uzi's mum, but it was the original N and the N shown hanging with Uzi is a copy/clone of the original, this would mean that J's death and return within the series is itself foreshadowing.

My theory (or rather, just a cool idea): Nori is still alive. Uzis dad said he put her down, but as we know, absolute solver can pretty much regenerate a drone from scratch, so she's actually been waiting for Uzis absolute solver to activate and come looking for answers - because she has found/been researching a way to conquer cyns influence in the basement. Or at least, thats what she SAYS, but in reality shes being controlled by cyn who is trying to recruit Uzi by deceitful means, knowing she is both powerful, but wont come willingly. N cottons onto this, kills Uzis mother in front of her, causing Uzi to hate him, but he does this purposefully so that she pushes him, away meaning he won't have to eventually put Uzi down (cause he lurrrves her lol). Probably not the case, but would be cool.

Actually episode 6 showed us that V, J, and N were not the only murder drones...The creepy part stealing drone had a TON of murder drone parts, and Baby had a Murder Drone arm of his own.
But didn't those dead DDs look a lot like J, N and V clones, hair and all.

Just to clarify : for the workers to have children , they have to take half the parents coding and merge them , forming a new personality and etc , this new AI will be transfered into a baby robot body , where its designated as an " untrained neural network " whete basically just like human babies , these bot babies will have learn more about the world around them , until eventually , their conscinous is transfered to the regular work drone body .

Personally, I think that N is the Murder Drone who stuck Nori with his Nanite acid, but Nori’s absolute solver was able to repair her.
I think that this caused her to overheat and transform into her solver form like Uzi did in episode 4.
The "theory" was 'S'. Taking a serial number from a piece of paper we see for a split second and extrapolating that into we will meet this character next episode.
Actually that's one of the only things he got right(even his recap got nothing right) S was also foreshadowed in the season 1 trailer

@@catalystic5368 He claimed that what’s going on is Cyn’s plan(she’s been under the control of AS since ep 5), he claimed that Tessa treated Cyn well, he claimed that Uzi teamed up with Doll and that Doll was a helper for Uzi, he claimed that Tessa was a mentor figure for Uzi, he claimed that Khan was Nori’s father when he’s actually Nori’s husband and Uzi’s father, he forgot that Workers are also identified by Worker IDs(this is a minor thing but still), he claimed that S would know what happened to Nori as a result of working with her and being in Cabin Fever Labs even though Nori left far before the Disassembly Drones got her(one of the worst timeline errors he’s ever made), and etc.
He got nothing right at all, the community hates his video for a reason lol.(People got so annoyed about it that I gained 10 subs just by promising to make a video to correct Matpat lol)

What I don't get about the S theory, not just on MatPat's part just the community in general, is that those papers were found next to a *corpse* so why would we not assume that S is dead?

Personally, my theory is that N ends up Nori's killer sure... but Uzi just blows it off like she does almost any other deaths.
No, the real spoiler is that the Heroes Journey here isn't Uzi's... It's N's
What if it's V's not N's. Because she "dies" in the last episode and is always angsty (moreso than Uzi). On top of that she is the only drone we have not seen killed in the show so far.
N got himself blown to bits a coupple of times and also decapitated. J has been killed already. Neither of them changed because of it.
So the S character could be what tips her into angst overload. And transform her after her revival.
Despite the obvious theory structure surrounding the hero’s journey, he has a solid hypothesis on why may happen specifically to Uzi in the Murder Drones universe in the next two episodes.
Fun facts: Uzi is 19/20 years old (look at missing poster ages). By looking at how Tessa aged from teenager to young adult, I can safely guess that it’s been around 5-10 years. That being said, N looks fairly young in the flashbacks (around 15, if you can call that “fairly young”) so that would make N around 20-25, proving my theory on the Murder Drones videos on this channel that I have commented on that N is the same age, to around 6 years older.
The Hero's Journey doesn't work for all stories but does for most popular ones, and many which are relatively unnoticed, and even bad stories too. But there are other structures, like The Heroine's Labyrinth, and some Faerie Tales, Myths, and other stories which don't follow either. Rare though, especially with how saturated analysis and intentional structuring to match The Hero's Journey has become since it was proposed as a story structure.
I was hoping someone did mention this. Thanks for restoring a bit of my faith in humanity.
Yeah, I want to see him apply Hero's Journey to "Animal Farm" or "1984" by George Orwell, to "The Stranger" or "The Plague" by Albert Camus, to "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare, to something like "A World Apart: The Journal of a Gulag Survivor" by Gustaw Herling-Grudziński, to "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch" by Alexander Solzhenitsyn, to "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky, to series "Black Mirror", to "Seinfeld", to "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett, I could list out countless examples of stories that don't fit into "The Hero's Journey"

When I first watched murder drones i was really confused, the episodes didn't seem to have a connection to each other. Just individual stories, so I'm actually really happy matpat gave a story overview

Could the TSA model drone have been that one that looked like Tessa that was just standing in the darkness when Uzi first entered the cabin where she found those documents?
Well, the community has always wondered why there was a drone/strange figure that looked like Tessa in Ep 4.
The idea that it was built by Tessa herself is a possible explanation for how a worker drone ends up looking like the past version of a character we know. _(Not only that, Tessa has the technician experience to make this possible.)_

Nux, Absolute Solver is literally an eldritch horror. Look up "The Yellow Sign" and then look at the symbols painted on the walls, or what Nori is standing on during the video segment in Episode 6. It's a symbol associated with impossible, forbidden knowledge, and with Nyarlathotep and Hastur of the Cthulhu Mythos.
Let me cook for this nuclear take, but I feel like Nux to MatPat is what Jacksfilms is to Sniperwolf.

Well in all seriousness i think she let herself be killed, that ans since she was stung with nanite acid, the dissolving effekts of the acid might have counteracted the Solver regeneration making damage to her actually permanent... but thats just my hypothesis.
Camp 98.7 is not CFL but it is very close by and some of the buildings seen in ep4 seem to be outposts of it judging by the equipment and documents (specifically the one where Uzi finds the keybug and the one where N finds the Zombie Drones tape).
You can actually see the same reactortower in the background of some shots of ep4 and at the beginning of ep6 when J and Tessa are chasing Doll across the powerplant, its a really nice piece of visual consistency.
I'm so with you on him not seeing other animations out there.
I will say, Murder Drones is notable for brining up tropes in the past, and somewhat subverting them, either for comedy or for genuine plot beats. I don't think the series adhering to the heros journey beat for beat, at least intentionally, is something Liam vickers would want to do.
MatPat managed to catch the CYN in their serial number but not where it says on their bootup that Cyn has override access and Uzi now has admin control for both N and V

Also, I want to see Eldritch Uzi and/or Doll as giant transformational events when one of them combines their powers with their moms in the next episode where NVJ and Tessa will fight either one or two eldritch robot monsters like a big final boss battle that they have no choice but to kill them off somehow. In the meantime, maybe Tessa might be able to revive Uzi and/or Doll and put them in new Murder Drone bodies that they’ll be taller than the regular Worker Drones and make up their own teams to fight other Cyn related projects hidden around different areas of Copper 9 or whatever. I don’t know but turning Uzi and Doll into new tall Murder Drones and team up with the others to stop Cyn’s robotic digital tyranny would be awesome for season 2 somehow so yea haha.

Nope the first time the absolute solver is used is when she regenerates from the chest wound N gave her by the time J left through the vent.
I like Nux's reactions to vids like these, but with Matpat vdeos... idk man, it gets a little exhausting. I know Matpat is kind of a meme and easy to clown on, but literally EVERY FUCKING THING Nux nitpicks and bitches about. To the point of him even being contradictory. I really hope you don't mind me clicking away too early. I watched up until Matt finished the recap because I don't want to have my hopes for the show spoiled. It's the same reason I stopped watching Steven Universe: I got spoiled on fan theories so when the actual ending happened it was significantly more mundane than I was expecting.

While yes, every story does have flashbacks and twists, Murder Drones had so much that it was hard for many, including me, to keep track of what was going on so Matpat made this video to help those people understand the confusing nature of the way Murder Drones tells its story. It's not the kind of story where you can simply turn your brain off and expect to immediately understand everything. You have to actually pay attention to every little detail to understand what's going on.
