Holy moly this is incredible! Loraine has a lot of power and emotion in her voice. She is so anointed. We need more vocalists like her in this world. This is hard to pull off live and she crushed it. You better sang! And the background singers? Wow they were all fantastic! There was nothing I didn't love because I loved everything about that. That was perfect and flawless.

I wonder if the second singer is a lower soprano dramatic maybe. Her low range is dark and rich but the upper range is bright & beautiful. Great voice overall!
Both but catch her in concert rendition on "Every Mountain." And bi haven't heard Sister Callie scream and growl. Idk how one does that and still sing so purely. P, Lorraine is singing that alone.

If you have the opportunity to see the Kurt Carr Singers live, you should absolutely take it. A recording can’t fully capture the colors of their voices the way hearing them live does.
I was just writing that. I've been in the church all my life, even in the Detroit music scene in the 80's and 90's withe Clarks, Winans, VBA etc. etc. but I was blown away by his soloist.

His singers get their own careers or other things in their lives with music, ministry and life where they stop touring with him. It happens with all groups especially when they tour. For example Nakita is her own musician now, Yvette had health issues, Michelle her own musician, Chrystal Rucker, so on. It's not rocket science, really
True. Ain't NOTHING like his original group from the early 2000s. I still listen to their first two projects often. They were absolutely AMAZING!!! I miss their sound. The Kurt Carr Singers have transformed a few times over the years but never seemed to recapture the mesmerizing and spirited sound the original group had. They are still a great group and one of my favorites.
