WWII was certainly the a time where legends not only were born but also where legends would become eternal forever enshrined by their actions and their crews
Great song, another head banger like always. I would like to point something out regarding the title, however. You see, the prefix of "KMS" is not historically accurate - the Kriegsmarine never used any kind of prefix for their ships. This is a more recent phenomenon that I believe came about because of either a WW2 video game or some crazy historians who didn't do their fact checking properly. The same is true of the "IJN" prefix - the Japanese Navy never used it during WW2. It's something that bugs me, since to the best of my knowledge, the only navies of the WW2 time period that used prefixes in their ship names were the British Royal Navy (and IIRC their Commonwealth states) and the US Navy (there may have been other nations who used them, but those are the only ones I have definitive proof and knowledge of). Kinda bugs the crap out of me whenever I see prefixes used for navies/ships that never used them.
I think it appeared to help solidify which navy your talking, cause if you just say “We’re talking about the Battleship Tirpitz”, you would then have to specify which Tiripitz your talking about, so people came up with the prefix to make it easier to specify which navy the ship were talking about was in

@@matthewthedemonangle5902Additionally, it’s easier to distinguish between kreigsmarine ships and Kaiserlichemarine ships (Kms and Sms)
Her hull still fixes roads. EDIT: German ships are masculine for some reason, I have assumed the gender of a ship. Brace for cancellation.
Even in death she still serves
If I remember correctly it was only really the Bismarck that was referred to as he instead of she but I could be wrong about that
@@teresaheard-marsh6009Yeah, and that was because his crew thought he was so powerful that he shouldn’t be referred to as a she
Nah fam, ships are female
