This song took me back to a moment in my childhood. It was a snowy icy Sunday, and I really wanted to go to church. Our family had gone through a divorce and I felt the loss of having a dad. My single mom was not about to drive on icy roads with 3 little ones, so we were stuck there. I remember looking out the window and just asking God if He would be my dad. I'll never forget the feeling of warmth that surrounded me, and that k owledge has kept me over and over--He is my father.

I thank God for this song. It has really encouraged me. Since i started college, i have been far away from God. I am gradually losing my desire and love for God. I’ve been depressed for two years on and off. Thought of taking my life. My grades went from a 3.0 gpa to a 0.33, I felt like giving up. I let the devil take over and I cried almost daily that time. Recently depression came in like a truck, no reason at all. I just knew that the devil was trying to mess with me. My friend and my boyfriend both helped me through it. I love them a lot, they’ve helped me. Yesterday when depression hit me like a truck, I felt like jumping out the car......or getting a gun, taking it to school and pointing it at me to see if anyone would care.....I came home and told my boyfriend I felt this way. My boyfriend told me to spend time with God for 20 minutes so I said okay. I went to the bathroom, cried my eyes out quietly and prayed, read my Bible, and used up my tissue box. I did that and then I checked my phone and one hour passed. I washed my face and he told me to just pray and keep talking with Him. The next morning I woke up and my depression was gone, God answered my prayers. I would be depressed about multiple things but the one that hit me was my 5 best friends leaving me like it was nothing. I used to cry over them. But today, since God answered my prayers, my depression feels like it was lifted up......I Thank God for everything. I don’t feel depressed about my friends or anxious about my family dying....I remember praying to God yesterday while crying: “I don’t know how to do this but I give you my depression and anxiety.” Thank you God....I love you deeply. I hope you guys pray and be close to God. All of this made me realize that prayer is really powerful.

Two weeks ago my husband gained his wings. After his death I was thrown into a spiritual battle for my life. My dearest friends saw me spiraling down. My one friend her greatest fear these last two weeks has been that they would lose me too. Over last week a very special sister in Christ opened her home to me as a way to save me. I finally said I would move from Kentucky to Alabama. That move is tomorrow morning. I had been struggling with trust over this move. This morning my friend shared a link to her church's prayer service this morning. This song was playing. I begain to just weep. God spoke to me through this song that my move tomorrow is me running to my Father. Me falling into his grace. I pray that this song will bless another broken widow like it has blessed me.

I am 13 and today i gave the lord my life and yesturday i went to my therapy and i told her that i had depression and that it was at an 8 but now that i have heared this song and played it again and again and again mulitple times I am so thankful that god is my father! There were multiple bad things that happened.... Because At first when i was born my mother told me that my father didn't want me just because i was a girl and then i got bullied at school and i didn't know how to help myself and no one would help me sl i just let it be but now that i know jesus and that i can trust him,I feel safe and Hes what i call Home! If anyone ever needs help and doesn't know what to do then RUN TO THE FATHER AND HE WILL HELP YOU! he is always there for you when you need someone! He is such a good father!

Too often we see Jesus as a scalpel when it comes to our daily lives. We use him to cut the mess in our lives. We make ourselves the surgeon, forgetting that our methods and ideas are full of mistakes. Jesus is never mistaken, he is the perfect surgeon. I personally need to learn to place my complete trust in his able hands and ask him to cut and fix the root of diseases and habits that are destructive in my life. I love you Jesus! "We make ourselves the surgeon..." Oh man, I definitely felt that. 2 years ago, I was so burdened by my brokenness and my actions. Just asking the question, "what's wrong with me?" "What is the ROOT of my mess???" And I literally spent a couple of days going back through old old FB convo, emails, anything you can think of when it comes to social media communication. Just digging around my heart, trying to find it. Fully aware that only through God's timing will I know. But I kept digging anyways. I ended up hurting myself even more, just seeing how far and deep my brokenness went.
But now...in His perfect timing, He's showing me the root. Not only that, He's carefully performing surgery on my heart. Healing me. I'm experiencing and living TRUE FREEDOM in Jesus!

Growing up, I taught myself to run away from the Father. Until I reached a point like the prodigal where I had no choice but to Run to the Father and surrender everything to Him. Now I'm back in the fold because the Lord is my Shepherd.
I don't know why but for some reason I felt like I needed to leave a comment on this song because of how powerful it is, so I hope my story helps someone out there that maybe feels a little like I did and still do sometimes. Recently my mom's friend invited me and my brother and my mom to a new small church that just started up. So naturally I started going to the youth services. Up until that time I had had kinda a "one foot in life and one foot in church" thing going on so I just went not expecting anything much. I remember the service being so powerful and so amazing that it literally changed everything. Then it was time for worship and they sang this song and I remember it being so so so powerful that I cried the whole time thanking God for everything and now everytime I hear it I tear up and sometime start crying again. My friend been dealing with silent battles lately. I'm always here for him but he said he just doesn't feel the care at all. I'm praying for him. I hope he find a friend in God's presence. If he doesn't see a friend in me, then I hope he just run to the Father again and again and again and again.

My Dad died in a car wreck when I was three and a half. I grew up distantly aware of the love of a Father, but not understanding my worth. This compounded into years of sin against God, myself, and others. Jesus redeemed me from that life, He set His love upon me, He welcomed me into His presence where I find refuge. I am blessed beyond measure. Thank you Jesus ❤️

My dad is dying he needs heart surgery but they won’t give it him cos he is too weak, we didn’t speak for 11 years and god gave me a dream and restored our relationship and then 2 weeks later he was in hospital, it’s been heart breaking to get him back and loose him again so soon.
