I watched an interview with Bryson after the PGA Championship and he was all class with how he handled a tough loss and was exactly what I hoped more golfers were like. He has come a long ways since he and Koepka were not seeing eye to eye and was a picture of class with his maturity. Xander was also nothing but class and it was so cool to see the winner and runner up showing their respect for each other in such a close and exciting tournament.
@@arjanpetersen Most clubs are OP like that anymore. My 16 year old just bought a set of Mizunos and he gained 25 yards with his 6 iron over his hand me don set. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s hitting an iron 200 and he has 5 or 6 more long(er) irons.

I am a huge Bryson fan. I love the break 50 challenge that he does to benefit Wounded Warriors. My favorite Bryson moment though is from this year's US Open. Sunday. Clinging to a one stroke lead. He's 7 under at 10, leading McIlroy by 1 stroke, and scrambling out of the rough several times to preserve that lead. There is no bigger pressure moment in golf than that. And as he heads to 11, he stops to sign a hat of a disabled fan in a wheelchair, and then he warmly shakes the young man's hand. He didn't have to do that. Most men would not have even seen the young man because they would have been so focused on 11. But Bryson saw him, literally changed the direction he was walking to approach the young man, and gave him what was likely the memory of his life. I wish Bryson could see my post, because that is what I will always remember about him. Sure, winning the US Open is the pinnacle of golf and an accomplishment that I can't even imagine achieving, but you do not need to be a first-class human being to do it. Bryson has a good soul and a good heart. That is what people will remember about him. And that is a beautiful thing to be remembered for.
Tiger was, no doubt, a great player, but his attitude was always a turnoff for me. He just struck me as a whiner. I always hated the spotlight being on him even when he had no chance of winning.
What I'm really impressed by and it goes for a lot of the top boy pros is how far they hit it and the speeds they get without appearing to swing like a maniac. That looked like a 70% swing.
It’s all just tempo and balance. Compacting the ball on the sweet spot. Not as easy as it looks and there is a reason the game is so damn hard, but the pros do make it look annoyingly easy lol.
That's what amazes me also. I'm in awe of how perfect their swings are. He's not the only pro that hits super long with what looks like minimal effort. Awesome to watch
His 8 iron is 6 iron loft and all of his irons are 6 iron length. So that is basically a 6 iron. I get Bryson’s point that him saying because of his fast swing speed he is getting 8000+ spin rate ( I mean that is what he said but I am seeing +5000 spin rate in this video. Idk why) which is optimal 8 iron spin rate, but I don’t think you can still say that is a 8 iron because even though spin rate is the same, due to the length and the loft, it will go farther than actual 8 iron loft club
Working on golf courses for 23 years and I tell you what. When a pro cracks an 8 iron like that, the sound is unreal. The owner of my last course went pro for a few years and he when he swings an iron, man you feel it
At that point it's just as likely measurement error. Every scale, every thermometer, every rangefinder has a ± error margin. You can see this if you use a scale that is calibrated to weigh humans, you add something that weighs exactly 10 lbs, then add something that weighs exactly 1lb, and it might report 12 lbs.
Gotta admit indoors with no variances i thought bryson would get the number. The guy is a beast and super dialed in more than anyone on club speed, ball speed, launch and spin
His 2i (@ pebble I believe? Prolly wrong) from like 290 out off the deck to 10 feet was one of the best shots I’ve ever seen. Insanely high draw and managed to keep a 2 on the green from that far out 😅

8 iron 200 makes sense when your clubs are the same length and have power. A little longer than a normal 8 more than likely. My 7 is about 195 half inch longer
He admittedly uses very strong-lofted clubs, so his 8 iron is cranked down to something probably closer to a 6 or maybe 7 iron loft. Still impressive, but misleading.
I can hit my 7 200yds. Stock 7 is about 190, but if I draw it to lower the spin I can get over 200 no problem. My 7 iron is 30°. Brysons 8 iron is 30° and also the same length as a standard 7. So it’s not that crazy. What is crazy is his ability to be almost exactly on the number 3 in a row!
