finally a bike specific wheelie tutorial! Keep it up! I've never done a proper wheelie before, I think I might try to learn on my honda grom instead of this little agressive duke to start with xD
Nicely done! A good way to start, is to learn how to use the rear brake to bring it down if something goes wrong. Just let it lift a little bit and bring it down with the rear brake safely. Do that enough to make it a habit. After that you can apply more power and let the bike rise higher. The balance point is usually when the fork is leveled horizontally - but that comes *much* later.
Hello friend, I just bought a 2023 Duke 790, this model no longer has a track, do you think it is the same configuration? And if it would work the same for my motorcycle? PS: greetings from Mexico, excellent video!
ive got duke 2023 and it u buy the tech pack the bike has got track mode so u can use it whitout antiwheelie then i dont reccomand u to wheelie this bike becouse its not the bike for lerning how to wheelie like the guy who maked the video says
Definitely not just you. I'd prefer to be able to clutch them up but I have the 890 and it's so snappy. Could probably control it great in rain mode if it let me
quickshifter is the most easy way to shift in wheelie no problem shifting from 1st to 5th gear while your front wheel is in the air on my mt07 shifting in wheelie was very difficult WITH clutch, definetly a reason to crash for beginners
Yes i had a 2020 mt07 before I liked it very much, best bike in its class. But i think the 790&890 duke are better every point and playing in a higher class like mt09 mt09sp
@@joyrider1738 nice i have mt 07 now, i think i buy 790 because it still can wheelie like mt 07 but more power and good for twisties,. I dont like 07 suspension
@@Charmarque yes 790 is much better for twisties But the suspension ist defently not perfect 890 suspension is really good But even 790 is a big upgrade imo
Slow down for 2nd gear wheelies . That's why you are forced to shift . You can't power up a balance point as easy as you can pop one up at a slower speed . Go higher and slower then shift to 3rd. You're going too fast for 2nf and too slow for third because the front wheel is still too low .
Yes now i clutch at 40-50 doing more angle, works better. Im not getting soo fast. In the next video i will show it👍 But if you doing power wheelies you need the 6000 rpm to have enough power for the impulse.
if you have enough skill you can do anything :D but yes i think its difficult below 50kph cause 2nd has not enough power, and 1st way too much maybe with shorter gear ratio and then using second gear but i mean there are worse bikes to wheelie and im very happy overall :)
You are the first person to actually say "close the throttle and re-open" I didn't understand why I couldn't get the front wheel up until now. Thanks
nice be careful^^
yes the faster you close and open it
the faster the front goes up
@@joyrider1738 I shall be trying this very carefully tomorrow, thanks again and ride safe man 🤙
Really good tutorial! Good tips for beginners that helps whichever bike you’re on, thanks!
That's a clear display of Throttle Response modes and acceleration
of KTM Duke 790 .👍🇮🇳

yes grom should be nice for stuff like this and less dangerous
Nice effort man, I personally started off with clutches up with 790, getting the hang of it
i dont have the track mode.. did you succeed with the sport mode also?
What exhaust/silencer do you use?
Are you using standard sprockets?
Whith no anto whelie mode is possible to do whith no TC?

Is it normal to be revving the 790 up to 6k in 2nd or 3rd gear while doing twisties? My inclination is to always upshift around 4.5 to 5k
You have to use that engine mate! I'm always above 6k rpm while doing twisties and trust me it's where your bike wants to be ;)
Do you use the brake while you are making wheelies ?
What have you put over the original rear mirror holes?
at this day just some foil for car wrapping :D
today i have 3D printed me some covers
Thanks for that info, it was really helpful... I wish the 790 had anti wheelie mode on and off for every mode, not just track but maybe thats just me.

How are you manage to
I can’t get it up on second
Awm off and throttle is on ‘track’
Did you manage find out? I can wheelie second but even clutch up in 3rd is terrible
Sehr sehr gutes tut ♥️
Very Nice! What Year duke is this and original colour?
Show more of The Nice decal kit please!
Its the orange model of 2020
With a graphic kit of motoproworks
Would like to see more of The bike! 😍

The ktm 790 duke is my first motorcycle. So it's my learning curve.
On mine I can simply turn off all mtc without track mode
What language are you speaking?? Because I only understand 6000
