I was just there for my birthday week in an Airbnb off N. Ohio St. I did not want to leave! I grew up in Waukegan and only ventured to the city to club and attend house parties as a teen. Unfortunately, had to move to Florida after high school with my family. in any case, I finally had the opportunity to explore much as much of the city I could in a week. I would love to move back. Not really, went there in May for a few days, walked around everywhere, not really dangerous, just alot of homeless people asking for money and funny weirdos, it's pretty harmless, more annoying than dangerous, it's the traffic that bothers me the most, honking horns everywhere, so much noise, it's a complete mess, but what big city isn't?

Crime in the US is *very* concentrated. Literally down to streets/neighbourhoods. Outside of those places crime is usually very low
