But the fact is that these yoginis navigated throught this patriarchy and established their power. This proves how powerful women are. Thank you bringing this up

I appreciate your style of explaining in a calm manner ! Also many Yoginis/ Satis/Tapasvinis etc might have existed but they would not have come out in Public as wrong men act wrong when they encounter a self-realised woman . Yogis would never do this but the wrong elements of society. Also you are so truthful brother in the entire discussion! Respect and Gratitude!

Your explanation which you called to be a vicious cycle for lower number of Yoginis compared to Yogis in Vedic era stands quiet logical. Video turned out to be very informative.

So good to hear all of these from you :)
I’m also curious about the opening and closing mantras that you are using in these sessions :)
Also are the words Brahmavadini/sadhyovadhu used in yogic terminology today ?

Thank you Janess. We will discuss the opening mantra and closing mantra also in the tomorrow's session. It is quite interesting.
Both of these terms 'brahmavadini and sadyo vadhu' are not used in the yogic terminology today. Mainly due to the gravity of these words. Brahmavadini is someone who has reached deeper dimensions of Yoga, not just asana practitioner like us.. :)

It’s interesting that most of the women are mentioned in the 10th mandala. Of course I’ve never studied RgVeda. Just a small observation in a very interesting discussion. Even in the modern day there seem to be more male practitioners and teachers than female. However, a well known teacher in the US once said that the future of Ashtanga Vinyasa teaching is with women. Do you think this is possible? I wonder if anyone has done a modern study of the current prominent teachers to determine the number of men vs. women. Anyway it’s good to know that there is a space for us if we diligently follow the path to higher knowledge and consciousness.

Hi Becki, that’s a sharp observation of RgVeda mandala. I also think that the future of yoga (not only ashtanga) will be heavily influenced by the female teachers. I don’t think there’s any study on it at the moment. I assume we are still at a primitive phase of this change. Will discuss a little more in the upcoming session.

Thank you for your comment. Can you please elaborate? Volume means the duration of each video?
