@pi Still have it? How did you like the adjustable suspension - much difference in auto vs sport? I'm about to buy one of these. Alfas like to be driven for sure and usually are pretty reliable with reasonable care and regular driving.
Yes I still have it and use it as a daily driver although at 200k miles I did recently have to replace the starter and also the fuel hose on the in tank pump. The suspension is very soft in auto mode, some people think it is too soft, but I personally like it, It will automatically and instantly switch into and out of the firmer sport setting when you corner or apply the brakes so I normally just leave it in auto. If you do buy one just be prepared, you will probably get a speeding ticket (or two) Ask me how I know.
@@pi.actual Thank you sir for the reply. Am buying one that still has the adjustable struts (one leaking) , but it comes with a set of konis & springs. Debating whether to get the oem ones refreshed or to just put the Konis on. The Konis would allow some adjustment front vs rear to tailor the handling for more oversteer/rotation, so kinda leaning that way, but adjusting from smooth to sport is very attractive too.... Great videos! I peeped your other ones and have to say the Alfa sounded pretty much as good as your F car, but I'm sure the in person experience is far greater in the smaller one. :)
@@pkonyoutube I would suggest trying the original shocks before deciding. You may feel the auto mode is too soft for your liking as many others do. Yes the Alfa V6 is renowned for it's great sound and is just as satisfying in it's own right as the Ferrari V8. I would suggest replacing the timing belt before it goes past 7 years or 50,000 miles.
@@pi.actual For sure, even though the suspension is not 100% fresh I'm going to try it for a while. I like soft when i am cruising, but also like the feel of Koni yellows, so going to take it a step at a time. Do you find the suspension satisfying and does the fwd bug you much? I hear they are pretty fun while still being great cruisers.

Not sure why Alfa decided to use those ugly Mercedes-like steering wheels instead of a traditional 3 spoke ones. Even less sense it has in the first batch of the GTV. As for the bad rep, I believe it is because of both, the Alfa of not caring about the boring stuff that make the owners life easier, and because of the technically illiterate owners with magic mentality. But I agree, Alfa was the best kept secret for a while, now as the overall quality got higher the prices are not that low.
I believe it's the 12 valve Busso engine. There was also a 24 valve Busso that had more top end power but was less "friendly" low down. I certainly miss mine and the sound and eagerness of that power train brings it all back.
It felt like I was right there with you buddy 😊
Love these POV drives.
Glad you are deciding to keep it, definitely the right choice
