A very informative video. I removed a root sucker from standard tree Leonardo da Vinci & Line Renauld rose, couple of days ago. Thanks for sharing such helpful video of lovely tree roses.
I used this support just as trial for my standard trees climbers and weeping. Bought from b&q. Find it useful only on Perennial Blue - my weeping standard coz I can tighten some stems to it. Others I am not sure if it us useful.
great video , just wondered if you tried to make you own standard rose , as its difficult to purchase some of them due to availability . i am going to try and create one from my Pretty in Pink Eden rose let you know how i get on.
Wow! That would be great if you can share 🙌!!! I haven’t tried myself probably in future but haven’t planned yet. I am looking forward to see your creation 🌹❤️ Which rose you are planning to graft? Any particular name or type?
@@Mycuterosegardenandthedog watching your channel definitely inspired me to add standard roses to my collection which i have but there are some tree roses which are not available which i would i like to graft for instant Moonlight In Paris, Distant Drums and Pretty in Pink Eden.
I have been taking suckers off my standards, i wonder is there different root stocks that are used. This last year i have got a few David Austin standard and they all have had suckers, the other standards don't seem to get them, ie i also have Lakeside Beauty ( aka Schone vom see ), also a Sweet Parfum de Provence and i have not seen a sucker on these ... yet
I agree with you and thanks for mentioning. I kind of didnt think about it but since you mention realised that you are right. Probably it depends on root stock quality or type I dont know exactly but what you say it is right 👍🏻
Brilliantly narrated informative video Dilly, also, as always, displaying the most delightfully
