    Cassiy you have been one of the content creators out there to actually motivate me enough to start and i gotta say once you talked about the phase called The Dip and im not even 2 weeks in to my shop but i feel lol😂, i dunno if im being way to hard on myself for expecting to see sales with about 5 listings and that short period of time, but here's whats really hurting rhe most about the whole process it takes me about 2 hours total to make 1 single listing and i know thats horrible but i just cant for the life of me make it any faster without sacrificing seo research design quality and the mock ups! Could you do a video about how simplify and organize your listing uploading process i think many of us could use a roadmap when it comes to how to do it and how to make it easier and less time consuming for us Plss thank you so much for all you content❤

    You’re a great interviewer, you-tuber and Etsy seller. Thanks for continuing your share all this valuable info. I’ve been watching from the beginning and it’s helped me grow my business. It still does. I sometimes see new sellers saying it’s impossible, over saturated, and that you-tubers don’t actually share their secrets to success but I wholeheartedly disagree. I just think they’re not really putting in the effort and persistence needed to eventually get there. It’s easy but it’s also not easy in some ways. Giving up too fast is a huge mistake. It’s awesome he was able to do this so quickly and it might not be the norm for most people but the persistence gets you more experience, knowledge and exposure. My first designs were horrible 🙈. Some still aren’t great when I’m uninspired but my designs and SEO improved SO MUCH over the last two years and from the start, each month has been nothing but better than the last. Slow growth is still growth and not a sign that it’s not worth your efforts. 😅

      @@wtfamievendoing I hope so. I haven’t given up yet even although I wanted to a million times lol Last year (which was my first full year), I did almost half of what he did in revenue. It’s not enough for a full time income for a family (my husband has cancer) but I’m hoping this year it is. 😅😬🤞🏼

    We’ve focus our shop on organic and recyclable products and it’s not a huge market or niche because it tends to cost more through pod and usually gets less profit margin… but we love our message, so we’re pressing on.. I’m a mom of four and don’t have the 40 hours to put in, but keep posting listings that are well detailed and mindful with tags and such… but I feel like something’s missing, we’re getting views and shop visits but no sales yet, and I don’t have family to start us off with purchasing a few items, so I feel like customers are afraid to invest in a store that has 0 sales… it’s hard to start! 😅 but I have faith!

    Curious as to how sellers are handling products availability changing. I use Printify and noticed that certain colors and sizes are no longer available for the 3501 long sleeves. I know I am not the only one who has a difficult time fulfilling orders due to this issue and then also items being discontinued and having to replace a product which means redoing all of your mockups and reuploading everything for the replacement on both Printify and Etsy. It's almost impossible to focus on growth with these issues.

      It’s hard to compete with people who can spend $1000 on adds alone… but if you have faith in your designs and listings and press on, I think we will succeed ❤

    • @wtfamievendoing
      @wtfamievendoing 8 месяцев назад

      @@Humming.nature You can do this! If you set a "budget" (this is just a ceiling), Etsy might actually just spend 5$ a day if very few people click the ad. But the upside is that once it sells, you can add fuel to the fire and make the listing really fly. I was very hesitant in the beginning coming from Facebook Ads as they spend the budget you set. However, I've had my Etsy ads set to $1000 a day for almost a year now I think and it doesn't spend anywhere near that unless we're in Q4.
      But in order for the ads to work we gotta have a proven design together with a great listing offer. And the biggest caveat to the ads is that it should only have SEO that's very targeted to the thing we're selling, if it's kind of off then people might click it and the ad cost will go up. If it's a flamingo shirt, we can't have bird shirt in the SEO, just flamingo and so forth.
      Hopefully this helps! :)

I’m just wondering, like, what tools are these people using to make it look so easy? I meant with different designs? • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  8 месяцев назад +4

      Myself what I like to do and Andreas can maybe comment on his thoughts as well, but I like to make 3-8 designs for every niche that I find. So I sit and make all of the designs at once, then I list them all at once. Since they are the same niche but just different designs, the SEO if basically the same for all except some slight changes if I made some group shirts or personalized for example. Then the listing process because quite quick eventually when you get into a rhythm.
      If you missed it, this is the video where I go over my listing process with Printify to make it as quick and easy as possible

    • @wtfamievendoing
      @wtfamievendoing 8 месяцев назад +1

      Hopefully this can help! I uploaded a bunch of designs, thousands of them and none of them worked. However, if you make sure to design based solely on research and all you do is fully custom designs that just say something like: "Your Words Here", then you are not constrained by any niche or so. This way you can ramp up your designs, test out whichever design works with a higher likelihood of selling as fully custom designs have higher conversion rates AND you're not constrained by any niche. Once you have a design that's selling, you'll also notice that you get a lot of the same requests for the same wording in the custom design. You can then just add those to Etsy as you own the copyright to all designs you make. At this stage you also have a great design that you can add into in demand niches on Etsy overall.

      SimplyPODMandy has a good video on this as well, she calls it "batching" and it helps! And then recently Shawna has a video fairly new also about how she designs a bunch of designs and then lists and the main thing I took away from that was that she finds it boring and takes breaks. Which is great because I felt the same. Sometimes you just have to fight through that boredom haha but I hope that batching series helps!

I have my course the POD Roadmap available on my website Cassiyjohnson.com, this is a pre recorded training on everything I teach, then it comes with a private community where I answer your questions in the group publicly or privately as needed, we do monthly live group coaching sessions with additional lessons and I also provide a monthly trend report. Thank you Cassiy! Thank you and Andreas for such a great interview! I've asked this of others, what do you think please: If we combine Kittle, Canva et al artwork, fonts, elements, etc., to make them not 'stand-alone', why do they still get at people for selling commercially? What about copyrighting our ideas while using their combined elements and fonts to make our unique artwork or logos for sale, unless it is for or personal not-for-sale business logo(s)? Is there a company that we can use their work 100% free without restriction, etc., as copy and sell? I'm an artist who creates my own ideas and hand drawn, painted, photographed, etc. work, but sometimes would like to incorporate something such as fonts and elements. Thank you :-) ~~~~ Also, how can a shop do personalized items in the hundreds per month? :-)

    • @SpeedbirdHeavy
      @SpeedbirdHeavy 8 месяцев назад

      It's all about licensing. Just get the paid version of Kittl, Canva, Creative Fabrica etc and you should be fine. Those hosts have to pay creators to offer licensed elements, so it's only fair that sellers should pay their share too.

    • @wtfamievendoing
      @wtfamievendoing 8 месяцев назад

      Not sure if it's a question for me but I'll try to help out! :)
      I don't think I understand the question fully, however when you have created a design you own the copyright to it. If you combine an elements that you have a commercial license to sell and then you add other elements like text to that design then you technically have the copyright to that specific design.
      I don't think you can trademark logos using a logo created in Canva per their license. But from what I know, you can sell designs made in Canva that you hold the copyright to as long as you also hold licenses for all elements used in the design.
      Last question is quite a tricky one, Cassiy has a big library of videos and all of those can definitely help with getting a store like that taking off.
      Hopefully that helped! :)

    1000 a day in ads??? That’s 365,000 a year in advertising!

    • @wtfamievendoing
      @wtfamievendoing 8 месяцев назад

      Not exactly, see the budget as a ceiling. It can't go over that, I have my ceiling set to 1000$ a day but then it usually spends about $150-$200 a day since this is all pay per click. I also get sales with a ROAS of 3,3-4,5 usually and that means that for every 1$ I spend, I get between $3,3-$4,5 back. So the ads gives fuel to the fire and makes everything kind of skyrocket so to speak

  • @denisebrown825

    Question, when you first put a design up on Etsy and advertise it, do you put all your advertising on just that one product or do you let the rest of the products you have in your store stay under that advertisement?

    • @wtfamievendoing
      @wtfamievendoing 8 месяцев назад

      Not sure if it was a question for me but I have most of my listings on ads. It starts with when they're first listed, if they hit the target ROAS I keep them on after 10$, if they're under the target i turn them off.

      @@clarzr8719 I'm going to make a pricing video actually, I'll make sure to include this in it. But in short, all prices are displayed in the currency depending on where the customer is located. I've always kept the currency in my shop to SEK (which is my Swedish currency) however, I don't know this for sure, but there is a possibility that you might end up with an extra conversion fee if you set your store currency to USD if you live abroad. Every time they pay out they will have to convert it to the currency in your bank and that will get very costly as time goes on, I haven't experienced this conversion fee for myself but what I can say is that I use my native currency in my shop and it works great.

    • @wtfamievendoing
      @wtfamievendoing 7 месяцев назад

      I'd say that you would need to diagnose the issue here. It could be the images, it could be the price, it could be the offer in and of itself, it could be too low reviews on a store etc. There's so many things, but if you are getting visits, then you can know that the mockup and the design is most likely not the issue here. If they enter your listing and don't purchase, then it's something on a listing level that's the issue. Hope that helps!
