Between Snape and Lupin, I struggled to determine who should come first and who should come second, but both hold significant positions. Barty Jr., even as a Death Eater, managed to impart the knowledge students sought. Quirrell surpasses Lockhart, given Lockhart's lack of talent. The final ranking is contentious, yet despite Umbridge's shortcomings in teaching, she at least covered theoretical defense against the dark arts, while the Carrows focused solely on dark arts instruction.
In my view 1.Professor Lupin 2.Barty Crouch Jr 3.Snape 4. Quirrel (He was good except for the fact that he carried voldemort at the back of his head. The ones who remember this line , like😂) Umbitch and Carrow are undoubtedly out of my rankings
In my opinion, Snape does not deserve such a high ranking. Having very good skills or a lot of knowledge in a subject is not the same as being a good teacher.

He was very knowledgeable in potions and dada, but he was not a good teacher. Harry taught more dada knowledge to the DA, than anyone learned from Snape. It is possible if Harry was not a student in the class than Snape was a good teacher? Still only being a good teacher to some of your students, is not really being a good teacher.

@jeannieholroyd8718 Okay, but severus wasn't a good teacher since he bullied half the school only, excluding the slytherins. Bullying wasn't required to keep up his image as spy. Can't forget he bullied neville and tried to kill his poor toad. Even he knew everything neville went through, but of course, his "spy image" would excuse that 🙄.
