As a Southerner who is terrible at giving directions... yes. XD 'Just run up the road, about ten minutes, you'll see a Piggly Wiggly on the left. If you reach the Oyster Bar you done gone too far.'
I was giving someone directions to my house not too long ago and I said "follow the black fence with the horses, that's our fence. If you see cows, you've gone too far." I'll never live that down. Everyone reminds me of it all the time now. lol
My favorite when I once needed directions was, "Turn right at the tree that was struck by lightning, go past the 2nd dirt road and you'll turn left where they used to do rasslin'." Even funnier is was when I found a delivery person who knew exactly where to go.
I want Gordon Ramsay's voice as my GPS: Rump in seat. Done. Grab the wheel. Amazing. Turn key. Now the secret is to start slow to put it into gear gradually. Gas. Beautiful. Relax...let the car do the work…perfect. Brake. Destination reached. Done. Apply one last look back to make sure parking is straight. Brilliant. Doors locked. Really brings out the love. Let rest overnight. Walk out garage. Done. Oh my lord. So good.
Which way is it? It's this way, (turns right) I mean that way (turns left) oops y'all done gone to far it's 'spose to be over there by the bar next to Chuck n em where Frank use to live, just keep going I'll let you know when we're there
Take a left up the hill off the black top road right before the big curve, then you will pull around to the right to the gravel road, stay on that for a bit until you come through the gate then go left at the fork, pass the green barn and the big oak tree our place is up on the right. It seems simple, the entire process takes a hours. These directions are legit.
See, I totally get it. If yall don't know chuck and em', maby yall need to go sit on the porch, sit a while and drink some tea, Chuck and em' are cool. Lol
I say this as a Southerner; nothing.... but, nothing, is as good as the Snoop Dog GPS. "Turn Right. The Destination, is on your Left. Now, roll on up like a playuh do."...lol

tweeder1607 , No, a quarter of means 15 minutes before the hour. Same as, a quarter t'. As in, "We're leaving at a quarter t'five." "It's a quarter of five." "We need to be there at a quarter 'til five." "It's four forty-five already!" All of those have the same time mentioned.
i want this GPS, love it completely
Ruyah Vida I don’t know why Apple didn’t make it an option to give Siri at least a southern accent.

" it's a hop skip and a jump away!"

Then turn left over by where the Shell station used to be
You so right 🤣
3 miles as the crow flies.
My family give directions by where things use to be. Great if you are a local and familiar with that neck of the woods but insufferable if you aren't.
Yeah. And things like "2nd house from th end of the road." Jeez.
My favorite when I once needed directions was, "Turn right at the tree that was struck by lightning, go past the 2nd dirt road and you'll turn left where they used to do rasslin'." Even funnier is was when I found a delivery person who knew exactly where to go.

You forgot turn right here. Which may mean right or left. As in "do it right now"
