this is a really late reply but think of hair as like chunks and manipulate it into some shape you’d like, then add small details if you’re an intermediate i’d practice bowl cuts to understand the proportion of it. Then try something else

That's because you made it out of order. You need to go in one direction like how they do in the video. You start at one point and do the rest in that same direction and then circle back to the beginning of the polyfill.
