King Hiss was one of my favorite figures from the original line. The whole Snake Men saga kind of reinvigorated the line for me. Hiss wasn't the greatest, as far as design and articulation went, but he was a must have.
Very cool, glad I heard it here! While I can't do more He-Mans, and King Hiss was never my guy, I gotta say I love how they did took advantage of the detachable parts gimmicks of Origins to do a meatier version of King Hiss. Plus more display options that way. Thunder Punch is alright, I'm happy with my Series 1 and my 200x He-Men though. Thanks Jay!
Grew out of HeMan by the time of King Hiss in the 80s . However the stories I have been told are awesome in the newspaper stories omnibus and other stories I've seen in the cartoons. He's a fantastic character. By the time of thunderpunch he man I felt like I missed out and never wanted to get him. I never even got Battle Armor He Man till I bought the pack at Ollies Bargin Market off Jones Road in Houston for $20. As a kid I wanted new characters not anther version of He Man or Skeletor. but I did grow out of He Man by 87 and became a teen ager rocking to Metallica
had a few king hiss and thunder punch he man. I honestly just want King Hiss. I love the idea of the removable parts. I really want the Snakemen line to be solid and maybe have some army builders like the Horde trooper and Eternian guard. great for diorama set ups i feel.
I’m in on them, entertainment earth gave me the option to preorder early on Oct 5th. I believe I was buying an other item and it suggested the preorder.👍👍
I’m being extremely picky about what I pre-order, particularly since backing the Eternia play set . For the characters I’m taking a pass on now, I hoping I can find them on discount in the wild a year from now.
I had king hiss as a kid he was my favorite villain. I'm really bummed out that Thunder Punch He-Man has nothing but an effect to mimic the thunder punch effect. I knew that the cap feature was not going to happen but the backpack could have had an electronic sound or something to warrant it being a deluxe figure. The effect as the only additional item just doesn't shout deluxe. Did he get the short end of the stick because King Hiss would cost more otherwise?
It does have a twist-waist punch, like the original He-Man figure. I agree though, it's a poor substitute for the cap feature. They should have included some sort of "bang!" sound effect, just a simple clicking mechanism on the backpack would have sufficed.
I am curious, is that $24.99 price point in USD because that is typically what previous deluxe figures sold in CDN. Looksnit might be closer to close to $30 CDN once it is set and done.wirh.
In pixel dans eternia video they showed the box art concept and said there spoilers on it and Lazor Power he-man is front and center on the art and im pretty sure hes fighting Lazor light skeletor
Why does it have vents on the backpack, even in places that wasn't on the original? I was thinking they had an electronic sound effect built in. King of like those talking or singing greeting cards have.
I'll be getting these 2 characters as I've been collecting the line from the beginning. The 2 characters I'm looking forward to that I'm most curious about is the laser power and laser light He Man and Skeletor. What's your thoughts on these 2 characters. Do you think they'll change out the battery packs and lights like they've done with every special feature from the characters? Just curious to read your response or anyone else who may have an opinion on this.
Hey I love this line! But Mattel really needs to be adding the action features in these figures! It’s getting more and more disappointing… I think I’ll write them a letter. 😋
I wasn't a big MOTU kid, but I appreciate that so many are coming out now. The current kids should have fun with them. The packages are alway bright and colorful, with interesting characters. I never liked the poor articulation on the old ones when I was young. I was a GI Joe kid.
Hmmm... got me thinking of a Horde experiment; mekanek and rattlor's necks and heads on two-bad's torso with Moaty's legs...... The horror! The delight! The evil horde!
No, because every Origins figure is still limited to the basic human shape: two arms and two legs (with the exception of Mantenna!). Modulok has an infinite number of possible combinations, including giving him multiple heads, torsos, and splitting him into several creatures at once. He can also be considered an army builder of sorts, allowing you to potentially build gigantic creatures, AND he can can be combined with Multi-Bot(s).
Nope, it's just to hold the sword. The vintage shield was also used to carry an extra cap ring (with the sword being used to hold the caps in place), but they have removed that feature. So we cannot even put a cap ring on the shield to recreate how it is supposed to look. 🙄
I think the King Hiss figure is a vast improvement over the original. So many options. A worthy Deluxe figure.
Yeah dude, agreed, you could mess around with him all day.
I had King Hiss as a kid. I absolutely loved that figure.
Both figures are awesome, can't wait to get them
I still have my Thunder Punch He Man, can't wait for him.

Would have liked that the dial was still able to rotate and replace the caps with a loud clicker. But still getting this guy.

Doesn’t have the caps but it does have the spring loaded waist for the classic power punch action
I am loving this line and hope it goes on into 2024 and beyond!

King Hiss 🐍
Awesome toys collection

More awesomeness 👌
Eternia will pass 5000 on the last King Grayskull day, Fer sure.
It has already hit the target. 5400 backers, with just over a day left to go.
It was on Walmart for preorder and ratlor and the other snake guy were on GameStop
Missed the premier but good coverage.

It also has He-Ro and Eldor, and some of the Powers of Grayskull dinosaurs. Hopefully they are coming out in 2024 alongside that playset.
Pre ordered the snake men

Probably to reduce the amount of plastic used. This figure is the definition of cost cutting.
Only $21 each at Walmart too

I missed iiiiiiit lol
I'm not MOTUed out at all
Every character is now modulok

I think they added the sword holder to the shield so you can mount both on his back
