  • As the show sadly comes to an end I wanted to get a variety of moments that have stuck out to me through the years. The first set are scenes from 1993, 1994, 1995. Take a trip down memory lane with me. Of these clips what is your favorite?
    Guiding Light, you will be missed!

    🎉 greetings from coastal Mississippi. I watched Guiding Light 1990 to series end. The last 2 years , when they went on permanent location and fleshed out Springfield Illinois, l truly enjoyed watching. When we allow the Lighthouse to shine within, then it can shine outward ❤

    Maureen's death was one of the most traumatic and heartbreaking stories that ever happened. I believe that was part of the end of Guiding Light. The killing off of one of the most beloved characters on the show. I hated that story and Lillian Raines for well over two years.

    Of these, Maureen’s death is the stand out by far. Also the worst decision the show runners ever made. Of what’s not here, Roger’s dramatic return swinging through Blake’s church wedding, Blake seduces Ross during the blackout, Roger and Holly sleep together at the Cliff House after Roger saves Ed’s life, Reva runs off the bridge in the Florida Keys. I’m sure there are more. The early nineties were good years.

      @@kimberlywhitehead22, Vanessa really GAVE it to her! She didn't slap her, but Vanessa had a way with words, that stung like a slap! LOL.
      I think the part that stands out most for me, was that even Roger grieved for Maureen. Holly wouldn't give his card to Ed. I remember Blake saying, "You KNOW Maureen was different (She didn't hate Roger, the way the rest of the town did, in other words)."

    Wasn't Vinnie the one that made fun of Abby? Remember the time she went to I think the mall and asked for a pretzel but no mustard and this creep started laughing at her and making fun of her speaking like hearing impared people sound. Later on I think the poor girl had a nightmare about it.

    • @Spauldingfield
      @Spauldingfield  5 лет назад +1

      Vinnie did not make fun of Abby. Vinnie was killed before Abby got on the scene. You are thinking of Roy Meechem.

    it's crazy can't watch when they killed off Maureen 😥Peter Simon , Jerry verdorn , and some good female cast were underused just so they could ruin guiding light with the lewises , the cousins that married .
