Slim is like a useless ranch hand, doesn’t get anything done but always in the way. Really great idea with that multi plug heavy duty extension cord. Great idea with all the trickle charges. You sure did get a lot of equipment in that barn. It’s awesome to see the semi better weather you’re getting.
It has been mid to upper 70's here in N Texas this week. Just a matter of time before winter smacks us all in the face. Glad to see you protecting your expensive equipment. Thanks for the share.
Awesome video! Winter is starting to show itself just a little bit here. The trees are still red and golden, but the temperature says otherwise! Hope all is well on the ranch! Have a great rest of the evening - Everett and Lachlan
Hi Mike , I like the idea of the battery maintainers , over here in minnesota the farm equipment is going to the shed and the timber skidders are just getting tuned up for the winter season. have a good week.
That fuel additive is a good idea. Where I am at we don't get cold enough to need it but we often go to the Mat-Su or Fairbanks and we are so glad we use it even when we don't think we need to. 2 years ago we where heading to a Basketball tournament up at Delta and ran into some -60. For those who live south of you #1 dsl will jell up at -60. Fuel additive saved our butts. Great video Keep up the good work.
Good work, Mike! You squeezed a lot of equipment into that space. Even though it's still in the 70s and 80s here in the southern Sierra region of California, winter is icumen in (as the poet saith), and there are many things to do to prepare for it. See you and Erin this this Thursday (if the goats permit)!
I built a battery rack with charging stations. It's a little more work but more convenient. I don't have a storage problem but I put my toys away for winter as well. I only leave the snow removing equipment easily accessible and ready to go. God bless.
all of our equipment in our shed have battery charges on them ,a few have chargers that are design to be mounted in the engine room of sea vessels , these are permanently mounted to the tractors in the engine bay .
Great job Mike, we just did similar here at home with my garage. when we moved into town I went from a 40x40 shed to a 2 car garage. talk about a squeeze! I had to sell a few things to make it work. I noticed what looks like another tractor behind the 4055 through the door? Thanks for sharing Mike, Erin I really enjoy your videos.
@@OurWyomingLife it was just a glance, and dark at that. I just got excited seeing a possible wheel and steering wheel. Thanks for responding Mike! Have a good night.
new subscriber..great job! Thanks for all you do to motor our country along. I've never been up this far north from Texas, its sure good to see the country side this way thanks to youtube and the internet.
We don't have the winter's you do here in Oregon, but we still like to park it all out of the rain and possible snow. But I'm like you and don't have much storage. So the next best thing was an old two horse trailer to park a small Yanmar tractor on. Now with the door divider and horse divider plus the front end where the tack is stored the tractor wouldn't fit. But all it took was a cutting torch and now I have a place in the dry for the Yanmar‼️‼️ Thanks for showing the ranch and telling us what your up to. We think your a great family and a lot of fun so take care and we'll be waiting and watching❤️‼️‼️‼️
Thank you very much, what a good idea. I have family in Corvallis, I get all the rain reports and I know when they get snow they are in trouble, Thanks Mark - Mike
Hello from Ohio, Love all of those Hereford signs in your sale barn. On our small Appalachian farm it's the only breed we've raised in five generations of farming. We still have leaves on the trees here. Some of them haven't even changed colors yet.
Looks like you could use another building about twice that size. You can never have enough storage. Regular garages don't cut it either. Those tractors are pretty tall!
Hi Mike, We don't get the cold weather you do in Wyoming. What we get is a lot of Fall / Winter hail storms. We have these giant carports, probably 15-20 feet tall, with 1/2 sides where we put the tractors out of the weather, and smaller ones for other vehicles. It does make sense with the trickle charges in that climate. After work today, I actually helped out a bit moving feed myself. We too have a bobcat, which I was operating... to the delight and laughter of one of our ranch hands, as I am downright dangerous with that thing. :-D
haha, its easy to get squirrel with. Dont tell anyone but I bumped the inside of the sales barn with it a few years ago. I thought I was going to bring down the whole building Thanks - Mike
Yep old man winter is finally here Mike. Oh just FYI. I don't know if your round baler takes a ball. But when we're moving trailers in hurry. We welded a hitch to our tractor bucket and hay fork attachments to make it easier. It's also alot safer to. Best of luck to yeah.
I have a skid steer attachment that is a plate with an extended 2" hitch receiver. We slide in a typical trailer ball to move trailers, but to move balers, rakes and other impmentments with a pin hitch, we slide in a custom made piece of 2" square tubing with a pin welded vertical. That allows us to move tractor implements with the skid steer - all without getting in/out of the skid steer. Much better than backing it up with a tractor. Just position it under the pin hitch and raise it up.
Hi again! Good job Mike. You got it all fit in! If you put things to bed in good shape and ready to go spring is so much easier especially with so much to do then! Wise words. Hard to believe Fall was so short this year and was gone in a blink. Do hope winter will treat you kindly this year as I remember how tough things can get out your way. Hope to catcha Sunday. Thx as always...
Many UK farmers just drive their mowers, balers and drills into an hedge until needed the next year. They they wonder why the tyres are flat and everything is rusted up where the seeds and grass was left in the blades and tubes.
⭐️⭐️What about an episode featuring the Sale Barn itself? It’s history must be interesting. I used to do a lot of production sale work in the 90’s and early 2000’s. They are an interesting part of the cattle industry and your sale barn was part of that.

Do blow out or at least drain your irrigation system for the winter we will be winterizing irrigation systems next week here. The sales barn did fill up quick and I know it would be nice to have room to more stuff inside during your winters for sure. Did you put the BCS tiller and its attachments inside for the winter? Hope everything is going well this week out on the Ranch. are you going to be doing preg checks pretty soon? Have a great week God Bless!!!
Isnt it crazy. We do blow out all irrigation. Thats on the list lol. BCS and all attachments were already inside, they were in the way when I was moving stuff around. Preg checking coming soon :) - Mike
I am likely to be moving to Wyoming in the next few months. What can you share with me to know more about living in Wyoming? Are there other RUclipsrs that are from Wyoming that you know?
Hey Mike I have a question, is worth to put some bricks or something underneath the tractors or other things to lift off the wheels so they don't deform during that long time without any move ? Regards !!!
detrol5 It may be beneficial for long term but I don't think it's worth it for just a few months, especially when adding the safety concerns of him having kids on the ranch with equipment on stands. Out of everything his Firebird would probably benefit the most being that it's driven at high speed, on pavement, and on steel belted radials. Bias-ply agriculture tires will usually "bounce back" to round after they're rolling again unlike radial tires that will keep their "memory" because of the steel belt inside. More important is just keeping any tires out of the sun and out of the mud.

What do you use for plowing the snow? Do you get lots of snow down there in Wyoming? Do the cows stick closer to the ranch during winter?
