I know Spanish people generally speak faster & many trainers try to keep the speed natural but they don't understand we first need a foundation with slowed down conversations like this to start getting the language into our heads, otherwise we don't learn much. So this is a really useful video! Thank you.
¡Exactamente! your brain need to start getting used to the words and structures of the language, then hear them many times and in different contexts, spoken by different people to start recognising them and adjusting your ear. Language acquisition is a process. If you think of children, you wouldn't speak to them using complex sentences and in a fast pace when they're just starting to learn a language. The great news is that adults can learn a lot faster, but the idea of starting small and slow, to then build up from there is the same. Keep going! You're doing a great job! ♥

I'm Brazilian and I understand Spanish perfectly without making any effort, although I've never taken Spanish lessons.
Nowadays I'm studying English and I guarantee that English is harder to try to understand because English is not a phonetic language, you know? Roman languages are more phonetic and easier to understand than English.
The grammar and rules of Portuguese or Spanish are much more complex than English, but understanding Spanish / Portuguese is much easier.

@Achmad iid Yeah alone. But the thing is I had holidays in that time. So I studied about 3-4 hours each day. Now I can understand even more after attending a language school in Spain and I have it now in school as well.
@@vanillagrammer6019 It's interesting how it differs from person to person and what factors influence the learning process. I have been studying Spanish for two weeks as well and understood most of this video. But unlike you, I only studied about 15 minutes per day.
Until a year ago I have had Latin lessons though which is why the grammar and some words just seem to "make sense"

Surprisingly I got all of that as if it was normal, I listen to this about 4 weeks back (about a week after starting Spanish) and got none of it, I’m soo happy I’m finally being able to slowly pick up on Spanish. I hope this channel helps other people because honestly Spanish is such a beautiful language

Great video! I found this very helpful because the hardest part of learning Spanish for me is understanding what a Spanish speaker is saying.
Videos asking questions in spanish for english speakers is very helpful since we don't always have someone to converse with. This gives us at least a opportunity to listen, comprehend and answer back in spanish : ) More videos like this and even direct questions to the viewers is much appreciated thx

Great basic Spanish conversation. I agree that this is very helpful vocabulary for any Spanish learner - especially beginners. I naturally use a lot of this vocabulary regularly. You don't have to know a TON of Spanish; the right Spanish can take you a long way.

Been studying for 3 months now and this conversation was so easy for me to understand
I was getting worried that my 3 days of practice was pretty ineffective but I'm surprised at how much I was about to pick up. Admittedly it did take a few seconds for me to put the words together and translate but I got me really excited and motivated when I did😁
I’ve been in Spanish 1 for at least a semester, I’m glad that I can understand most of these things! I can read all of it well in Spanish, I’m just slow at processing things when they’re spoken. Nice video!

jajajaja that's sooo funny! I had to go and Google it. Romi and I came up with it, we wanted 2 speech balloons to represent a conversation, the colours of the Spanish flag to represent the Spanish language and then the name of our school, it took us days but it was a lot of fun. Romi drew the logo and also all the images from our Spanish books. I love her drawing, she's very talented. Thank you for watching this lesson and for your lovely comment!
