I have been using my Nova8i for a few weeks now. And I can say that the phone works pretty well. However, if you are a photo geek or video freak. Definitely be ready with the not so good cameras. It is good for spur of the moment captures, however if you live on capturing every moment of your life, this is not for you. Since I am not a camera focused user. I could say that, they are ok enough.

Just got my Huawei nova 7 5g in midsummer purple recently and I would say I'll stick with it for a while... I love it's premium design plus the massive internal storage. Also, the camera feature is great.

If you dont mind the chipset, i mean u will not use the phone especially for gaming, you may consider this phone. But if you are into gaming..heavy game bla bla.. SD662 isnt a best choice for the price tag. Even for a higher chipset with 60 refresh rate, gaming experience is not the best one.. Atleast Nova 7SE built with kirin 820 and support 5G network. Anyway im not deny the other amazing features of Nova 8i.

Not really. The new Nova 9 phones look spectacular for that price, but I have to agree that the Nova 8i was really a failure imo. Like, I guess the reason for this unusually high price point considering those specs are the 66w blazing fast charger and high battery. You don’t see that fast charger for the price point. And even though it’s a 4300MAH battery, that’s super good for Huawei phones, considering they don’t have Google Apps to constantly drain the battery, and that’s what makes it amazing! Though, that doesn’t justify the high price. If it had 90hz and SD 730, that would make this phone pretty good! Even P40 lite has Kirin 810 which is close to SD 730 and it’s About $150 cheaper! What does the Nova 8i have that the P40 lite doesn’t? 66w charger? 40w is more than enough, lol.

The SD 662 is much more inferior to the Kirin 810 in the cheaper 7i. That along will detract a lot of potential buyers.
